I use Google Assistant, but if you connect it to Alexa and your tablet can access Alexa then yes you can control it that way or via any device that can talk to Alexa.

Try downloading the Wemo App from the App Store. Once done, you should be able to fully control its functions from your Amazon Fire tablet.

As long as that tablet can download the Wemo app then it should work. You can also control the device from the Amazon Echo app, if you have that app or access to it.
