Regarding your inquiry about our Whirlpool® appliances, we do not recommend manually adding water to the washer. Manually adding water can cause the clothes to float, which lessens the cleaning action of the impeller and may dilute the detergent. Additionally, some washers have sensors that will automatically drain the water if they detect an off-level condition.
