Yes. The Winegard access point connects to the main router the same way a laptop or phone would connect and does not require the main router to be reset.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have mine attached to my remote shed and powered at the shed. I remotely/wirelessly connect to my home wifi from the shed. As long as you have 50%, i believe they recommend, or more signal strength and the password for the wifi you wish to connect to you can connect.
