• I just hooked my receiver up recently. You can download musiccast app on your phone and control your receiver from anywhere. Once you connect it to the internet you should be fine.

• More than likely not, mine needs a pretty direct line of site. Also can’t be more than 10-12 ft away or it struggles. Might look into getting an IR repeater though if you can’t get a direct line.
