No, you can add a phono preamp!

I have a turntable connected. My turntable has a built in pre-amp, if yours does not, you can purchase a turntable pre-amp and use with this receiver.

I looked at the rear of the receiver, I didn't see a "PHONO" input, so probably not. (FYI, turntables output a lower voltage so it requires a special input)

You can use a turntable that has a USB output with this receiver.

I use the system for dvd's and cd's and music. My turntable is in another location.
