You need to connect it to the existing wired in home's cables for a doorbell. I tried to used the chime system already installed in my house but it didn't work. Do not comes with a chime.

BEWARE, BEWARE MUST utilize mechanical boor bell with power converted to low voltage. DO NOT connect to 120 v power outlet, must be connected to mechanical door bell with transformer for power!
