Some tips and tricks on set up really go a long way. First, you need to mount on a flat surface in order for the unit to make good contact with the mounting bracket. If your wall is not flat, try adding a plate or something in between so that you can mount the mounting bracket on a flat surface. Otherwise you will be frustrated with the unit not making good contact. I mounted mine to the wall where my existing doorbell was. It was not flat and I had to get this corrected as described. I had my electrician do the work as he was already at the house on another project. But you could do it yourself if you were handy and had the right knowledge. Second, there is a special help line phone number hidden in the app in the help section. Use this number to get through very quickly to the specific support department for this item. Otherwise, you will sit on the general line for an hour+ only for them to transfer you to this line. I know because I found out the hard way. Once you get the right support department, they were very helpful in giving me the tips and tricks needed to get past these initial problems. From there, it was very easy to set up and connect using the app. Third, you must have a good wifi signal to the unit. In the end, the camera and app work very well once correctly installed and set up. Basically, when someone rings the bell, I get a notification on the phone. (Regular doorbell chimes too) I can choose to see the video feed and whether or not to "answer the call" and speak to the person at the door. I was impressed at the image quality and the speed. I do not experience any delay in speaking to the person and I can hear them well. I can also take a picture and/or record a short video which gets stored on the app and can be saved to my phone. Very simple app to use. Also easy to add additional cameras to the system through the app. Overall, I am extremely happy (so far) with this unit. And at a fraction of the cost of the others.

I have 2 different Zmodo camera systems in my home and wanted the doorbell solution also. It works well but I haven't tweaked it to my satisfaction yet. So far I really like it. The only thing that I've encountered that I didn't like is that it alerts me every time a car goes by. I'm not sure if there is a way to turn the motion detection off without turning the doorbell notification off. Overall great!

Does everything you would expect. The outside volume is too soft and I haven’t figured out a way to turn it up. This is only an issue if you are trying to talk to a visitor from your phone.

The camera works great. Easy to set up. The directions were clear. I got it on sale price was great.

a great doorbell to watch out your front door if you are being lazy in bed or not home. You don't need to pay for subscription if you don't mind the videos being deleted each 24 hours & you can take picture if you open the meshare app on your phone of the video & pause the video.

Working as expected. However, due to its with I have to install the doorbell at an angle. I wish the camera can to pivot a little bit. Other than that, it’s working as expected. Great for 79$ plus zmodo sent me a free mini wireless WiFi indoor camera. Thanks zmodo.

The syncing is slow and the performance is sketchy. It works when it wants to work. But, for the price it does what I need it to do.

The Zmodo has some nice features. I like that you can review stored videos for up to 24 hours without paying a subscription fee. It seems sturdy and a great price. That said, it does not install on brick walls as easily as the Ring. Plus, the camera angle is not as wide as the Ring. If you have a house that faces the rising or setting sun, then the camera views will not be as crisp. In the afternoon, we could only see black images. I purchased the Ring after returning this one, and I like it better for my house.

The motion detector in the unit is so slow that by the time the camera comes on the person at the door is already gone and you get a 30sec video of nothing. Problem three. There is a lag from when the door bell is pushed to when you get the message that someone is there.

I really like this doorbell which was easy to install to my existing wired doorbell. It has motion detection and a speake to talk through with my cell phone.

It works But is definitely not top of the line If you're looking for something that is fully functional and that works great you might wanna get a ring doorbell

Doesn't have a good connection all the time and keeps going offline. Repeatedly has to be re-tightened to get the connection back. If it keeps going like this, we will be returning.

I have not installed this yet because it is larger than the space where my old door bell is. Good idea to measure you space or you will need to do a complete install.

I read that it worked on battery or direct power. The instructions were impossible, and the battery is for backup So, it think it's a good product with bad instructions..

I purchased this item for my front door. I had an existing doorbell with 2 wires which is all you need. Please beware that once installed you can only move the lens left & right 25degrees which is not a lot. Also you have to have the app open in order to get the call for anyone at your door which wears down your phone battery. You can log in & close app & still get alerts but they are delayed by 10 to 20 seconds sometimes. But I do like the ability to click on live feed anytime & see what is outside the door. The app is free to use for the basic operations.

Got the same quality vs the higher priced Ring brand that my family purchased, without paying a ton more like they did. Was easy to install and works great! App works great as well on my smartphone. No complaints.
