Does just doorbell have a battery null

The device needs to be connected to an actual doorbell to work for more then 1 day.

I believe the packaging stated that it does. But, if so it’s pointless. You hard wire it to where your doorbell was so it’s got juice. When the power goes out so does the wi-fi. Making the whole thing useless. You didn’t ask but while I’m on the subject, I love it but I want to throw it through a wall. It doesn’t always alert you, it logs me out every time I check it and go back to it. The super duper tech support folks just say “restart it, delete the app and reinstall. Then you have to set the thing up again. Maybe I am dumber than I think, the wi-fi pairing is so frustrating I’d rather almost welcome burglars.
