I had taken my systems in twice and each time the tech did not completely satisfy the commitment made to me. It could be great if you stay on the tech.

Glad to have the squad when needed. Got with some laptop purchase but haven't needed to use them! Laptop has worked fine as far as I know my son uses it daily

Seldom things go wrong in the first year which is all you get for free with your purchase. Never used it. If you live on your computer then yes pay the price.

This is their one year extended warranty. I just got the computer a few days ago so there is nothing really to say about the warranty until and unless I need it.

Geek Squad Protection provides some of the best customer service. It is a value added 'must' to any product that holds any form of value to the consumer.

thought about this one for a while. figured theres so many things that could happen to your brand new somewhat pricey computer, better safe than sorry?

I like the fact that a plan can be purchased. I just wished that either it would come automatically with the product you purchase or that at least it can be offered at a more affordable discounted price. I mean, I did buy an $850 laptop and had to purchase a protection plan for another $318. That's a steep price almost $1200 for laptop because they don't tell you that the merchandise only comes with a 15 day exchange and 30 day warranty from the manufacturer.

Though I went ahead and purchased 2 years warranty from Geek Squad, I feel like it was a mistake. I went in the first time with my Dell XPS which had a crack along side my with a screw popped out asking for help. After more than 45' wait (even though I scheduled), they refused to fix it, saying it doesn't interfere with the functionalities, regard that I explained it's leading to future damages. They said I could send it to the manufacturer, but it could take up to a month to be fixed. But I can do that without Geek Squad cause the laptop is covered by manufacture warranty. I couldn't wait for 1 month with no computer to work with and all of my projects and programs are in it. As expected, time gone by and various problems arise- the other screws slowly popped out as well, 1 corner became loosen, charger hole unalligned, etc. I came in a couple of other time but they say they either don't have the apart or the wait time is obscure (one time I waited over 2 hours). By the end, I had the laptop fixed elsewhere because they are a lot faster and more reliable and it billed up to be about the amount Geek Squad could have helped and prevented.

I guess it's worth it for the majority of people, yet for individuals such as myself who are overly-aggressive & rugged, this isn't 100%...My electronic products seem to daggone-nearly, always break and when the product breaks, 8 out-of-10 times that product will be out-of-stock, so your warranty now becomes obsolete, and you end up having to purchase a whole new (extended) warranty...2 to 3 hundred gone down a drain...

For the price and everday usage of laptop, 3i and 1tera bit it really is a great deal. Light with a 15" screan you cant beat that!

These plans are a joke!

These plans will cover someone who is clumsy and/or careless, but it won't cover something that is out of a persons control! I helped my son purchase a laptop and we bought this protection plan just incase anything happened to it. This was a major purchase for him. He just moved out on his own and is starting his adult life. His apartment caught on fire recently, which I will add was not his fault. It started outside of his place and spread to the complex. Unfortunately his unit received the most damage. Good thing we bought this "protection" plan, right? WRONG! A house fire, especially one that was out of his control is NOT covered under this plan. How ridiculous is that?! I'm willing to bet that there are far fewer house fires than there are people being clumsy and breaking their devices. So evidently this "protection" plan covers incompetence and not people who take care of their things who have had an unfortunate event happen to them. What is the point in purchasing a "protection" plan? I will never waste my money again on these plans. What a joke!!!! I may look to buy my electronics elsewhere too.
