Prior to purchasing this HDTV, I owned a Sony HDTV for 9 years. About 6 years after I purchased it, the picture started to fail. I purchased the protection plan as insurance in case I encounter any problems with this HDTV.

I haven’t needed the service yet and hope to not need it but it is a secure feeling to have this type of help at my disposal.
