I bought the protection plan in case something went wrong with the tv.

Useless Geek squad warranty. My sony 55" Xf900 screen went black permanently. when called BestBuy got run around.. Covid19 as an excuse. Same with Sony customer service closed due to Covid19. Still bought TCL series 8 tv 65" from best buy. Was a tough choice to give them my business. Hopefully tv arrives in good shape. Their process to contact them for damaged product is so hard and their reps think Repairs are coming from their personal checking accounts vs company. Not good customer service when comes to issues. This is why i did not purchase geek squad warrant on my new 65" TCL series 8 purchase. Samsung has the best customer service of all period. Always had samsung tv in past, gave sony a shot did not last 7 months. Was going to buy samsung X90R but TCL 8 series won me over. Throwing Sony XF900 to my trash can today. What a waste of $1500.

Hard to RATE the GEEK Squad as it turns out they WONT service us at all, due to the fact we are 45 minutes from their store location in Burlington, VT. Not sure exactly what we paid for with the 'membership'.

The protection plan for the tv is good and it wasn't expensive.

I bought this 85” QN90D open-box TV and picked it up in-store. It was poorly packaged, had no accessories, and the screen was damaged from the start. I spoke to over 15 agents in-store, on Twitter, and through Best Buy chat — all said I was responsible and refused to help. Only one agent finally issued a return label after weeks of stress. It took 21 days to get my refund. Be extremely careful with open-box items. Customer support depends entirely on who you get — and most won't listen.

To many associates involved. They are expensive and not sure about their accountability. Once you think you are speaking to the right person they refer you to someone else. Hard to get on the phone. Hard to set qppts. Long wait times.

Must be a good thing since i haven't had to file any claims.

seems luke a waste of money byt id rather be safe than sorry.
