Have had the TV over a year and luckliy have not had to use this yet!

Always get Geek Squad insurance just in case something goes wrong.

Great service, great price, great guys, an excellent program.

TL;DR: We bought a service plan on a brand new 55" TV which has been broken/non-functional since approximately 90 days of ownership. Two months later and Geek Squad has failed to repair or replace the set. I would honestly stay away from both this set and Best Buy service plans. You're not getting your money's worth. We bought this TV after our order from Amazon was delivered with a smashed screen. We went with Best Buy as we've had good experiences with them previously, plus I wanted to go ahead and purchase from a local retailer. I picked it up on the day I ordered it online which was nice. Unfortunately the TV worked for about a month and a half, after using it not more than a couple times a week. I purchased the Geek Squad service plan immediately. It took them two weeks to even come look at the set, and even then they didn't show up in person. They called me and diagnosed over the phone. Their diagnosis based on the flashing codes was a bad controller board. They had the board delivered to our house. It then took them 3 weeks to come to our house to replace the part. The agent was nice, but after replacing the board the TV was still broken. Because had to "follow Sony's guidance" he was forced to just go down the line replacing PCB boards in the set until the issue was fixed. He ordered another set of boards and left without scheduling anything, promising a call later that week. The call never came, but the parts did. He showed up unexpectedtly last week on Monday to replace the parts (we are now two months into this saga). Surprise surprise, the parts didn't fix the TV either. Unfortunately "Sony has to make the determination whether we continue by replacing the panel or replacing the whole TV." It's now been over a week and I've received no phone call, no email, no indication whatsoever that Best Buy intends to actually fix this and make good on their service plan.

A must have for every single perchase online or in store

Although I haven't used this service but they are know to offer professional great service.

We have not had to use geek squad. We purchased the warranty just in case.

Geek squad protection is there and it's a must in case of anything

Covers everything including pick up so all I need to do is call

They dont cover all cases they have listed and tey to escape from providing coverage. But do provide basic coverage. Overall not worth it. Paying 30 bucks to cover TV worth 150 bucks.

Yhe sales guy was awsome on selling up our plan and gor the money, it was awsome. Thankfully I haven't had to use ot yet

Bought a different TV so this protection plan was cancelled.

I think it is important to cover expensive nice things like a TV.

Haven't had to use. Glad for the peace of total peace of mind.

I have not had to use the Geek Squad, as the TV is working great.

I hav ,found with any electronic device a warranty come in handy.

To soon to give honest opinion. Hopefully I won't need to use it.
