I got this for my parents for Xmas since their dual modem/router given to them by Comcast was a piece of garbage. (Everything Comcast rents out to its customers is awful), so I had them take their Gateway modem/router back and just get a modem, and then I purchased this router since we all use Apple devices in the house. The Dual band capability of this product blew every router comcast had given us in the past away. It wasn't even close. Parts of the house where my parents could only get maybe 1 bar of wi-fi signal were suddenly getting full bars with lightning speed, and finally maxing out the bandwidth for which they were paying for each month from Comcast. Easy to set up, couldn't be happier.

Works great, took no time to set up. Everything connected quick and easy. Like that you can monitor the network from your phone and being able to allow a guest user with a different password.

Great router especially for Apple products. Supports up to 50 users/devices at a time. Seamlessly connected all my devices with minimal configuration. The only improvement I would look for would to be able to be to updated to the highest AC speeds.

The fastest router I've ever owned, and so incredibly easy to set up. Apple's products are so user-friendly, that I was up and running within 3-5 minutes.

THIS APPLE AC ROUTER IS A SOLID PERFORMER, I WAS ABLE TO SET IT UP IN MINUTES. I HAD 10 DEVICES WORKING BEAUTIFULLY, THIS IS A VERY STABLE SYSTEM AND OF COURSE WITH APPLES REPUTATION, YOU CANT GO WRONG. FOR ME, I WAS LOOKING MORE RANGE, I HAVE AN ENTERTAINMENT SET UP OUTDOORS WITH TOUCH SCREEN PC AND MULTI AUDIO VIDEO CAPABILITIES. I NEEDED WIDER WIFI COVERAGE AROUND MY HOUSE. I ENDED UP WITH AN ASUS RT AC87 2400 DUAL BAND ROUTER.

No performance issues. Compatible with every device I use (mostly Apple). Nice mobile interface to monitor and control the base station. Only complaint is that Apple took away some advanced monitoring of active users which was useful for trouble shooting.

I anticipated a nightmarish hookup (the last wifi brand I tried had me on the phone for an hour) but it was a simple Mac hookup.Could not have been easier. It works much faster and better than the other connection I had. Worth the higher price for sure!

Very easy set up and has a considerable notice in the strength of our internet signal through out our whole house!! Strongly recommended if you want 5g signal through out your whole house!! Can't wait to try it this summer outside on our deck!

This was my 2nd Airport Extreme purchase, to help set a friend up with WiFi. I already own another, which delivers great WiFi to our two story home. Very easy to setup if you have an apple product, by using airport utility. Even if you have windows, you can download airport utility and use this router. Also of convenience, you can plug a usb printer in for wireless printing, or a usb hard-drive for apple time machine backups.

The modem has excellent range and is very solid and sturdy. I wasn't too crazy about the price tag initially but I'm super glad I got it. My house is 5,200 SF and I get strong signal strength throughout. This is another high quality Apple product.

I have owned several wireless routers prior to buying the Airport Extreme, but the problems I have experienced with other routers is consistent signal and strong signal strength throughout the house. The Airport Extreme replaced my Netgear router that was only 2 years old. Right away we noticed the difference in how strong the signal is throughout our two story house and consistent signal is broadcasted to all of the devices. I have several IP cams set up at the house, the several other routers simply struggled to keep up with the signal demands. But not the AE. If you own an Apple computer, iPad, or iPhone, setting this up takes no more than 15 mins. For the price, it is my opinion this is the best option out there. Not to mention you get the Apple design elements, no more ugly space looking router on my table.

Like any Apple, you can expect quality and performance. This versatile product can serve as router and backup hard drive (if you connect one). I've used it to connect two very distant points in a two level house. Strong signal and good product.

I had an older model of the Airport device and was experiencing some issues with signal strength in farther reaches of my home. I went to Best Buy to find a solution. The store sales person described the benefits of getting the new Airport Extreme Wireless Base Station and the the newer focused beam technology. I used the Geek Squad to come and install it. Took less than 30 minutes. I am totally pleased with the results.

This is a great product, I have owned this for a little while now and it has only had a really small problem with it, all that happened was when I lost power (I live in Washington) the modem resets and you have to re create the password and router name. If you have an iPhone its extremely simple and quick. I would totally recommend this item it is very fast and provides Internet throughout my whole house with a 150mb download!

Great Router, as expected from Apple. Speeds are insanely fast...more than enough for normal household use. Highly recommended for anyone who needs an easy to use router. Just note you still need a modem in order to connect to the internet.

I really like this router. It's fast, reliable, easy to set up. It is a larger than the previous model, but the dual band makes it worth the extra size.

Hey guys if you have an iPhone or iPad.. use it to set this up quickly. I have this set up in my living room and it gives us WiFi throughout my 2800 sq ft house.. iS a beast.. pick it up. You will not regret it!

This unit works excellent for users that have multiple level houses or a a large yard that you need wifi in as well. We have used about 7 routers over the corse of 10 years. Anything ranging from what the internet cable provider provides and rents us. Tried atleast, 1 Cisco, 4 linksys, 2 belkin, 1 asus, and finakky at this point i broke down and purchased a brand new apple extreme. And i love it. It goes further then any other router i had. Some of the routers i had were comnercial grade units from colleges or business of which i purchased at auction. With this extra range i have found over the last year that the speed is consistent over the long distance. I dont normally use apple products ipads, imacs in my daily life but as a electronic repair agent i have a ipad that i was able to use to set uo the apple unit. As the normal CMD windows computer command and then going to the browser with the ###.###.#.### wouldnt work in a apple. Unfortunately you have to use a airport application to set up or apply settings. I usually am more advanced in the settings but the easy setup and configuration was nice.

I had an airport express and was losing wifi in the far corners of my house. I upgraded to this and I should've done it years ago - connectivity is SO much better. Setup was a breeze, and using it is even easier.

First, description not clear. This works on every available modern device that can access the iNet. Description states only PCs and Apple products. I’ve setup for Android users, different gaming platforms like xBox to PlayStation(s), Garmin GPS, and others. Great, reliable, longest range network access I’ve witnessed yet. Multi-Band is great, simple setup should be easy for home-users, and cool, out-of-the-way design. Only about 3” x 3” footprint.
