I bought this Extreme to replace one that had the infamous "fan died and it stops working when hot" problem. Loved the ease of use, flexible configurations, and WAN/LAN management. The signal quality seemed to be heads and shoulders above anything I've had before. The new(er) mesh stuff is the way to go and Apple stopped making these as of late 2020

I've had it for a about 2 months. Super easy set up, I have all Mac computers, so I don't know about how it integrates with windows. Had some issue with the router not working (3 times in 2 months) and having to restart it. I did a software update and has been working perfectly since.

Great way to set up an extended network in your home.

Just a great product would buy it again if needed.

This is an item that you would expect from Apple. Plug in and use the AirPort Utility to configure the AirPort Extreme and then you can forget about it or go back to the AirPort Utility to change the configuration or check on the operation. Great wifi Router and easy to use.

I purchased this after having problems with a high end linksys model. I can not be more pleased with my decision. Although pricey, i have experience no dropped connection and the speed is incredible. I would definitely recommend this router to anyone that has a mac to set it up.

Added the Extreme to an existing (Apple) network. Incredibly easy to set up. Main reason for purchase was “insurance.” I understand Apple is getting out of the WiFi equipment business and wanted a backup - just in case they do decide to drop this.

This is a great product that works like a swiss clock. Never had any problems. If you have other Apple products, it practically installs itself.

We have over 15 devices connected most of the time and it works perfectly fine. We went from a Netgear router to this one and haven't had any issues. We've had it for 2 months.

I had an older Airport Extreme that was due for an upgrade. I wanted to be able to utilize the old Airport and my Airport Express to extend my network, so I stuck to the Apple router. You can get a router with similar features and quality for less, but to extend the network the way I wanted to, I had to go with the Airport Extreme. Works perfectly. I was able to move my office (several work devices don't have WiFi,) to another room by plugging them into my old Airport Extreme, and even set up the old Xbox (no WiFi) in the living room by plugging it into the Airport Express. Apple has removed and/or hidden a lot of functionality in the Airport Utility app, but there is still enough functionality to get the basics done. I have one hard drive plugged into it. I wish it had more USB ports, but that's nothing that a USB hub can't fix. Over all, I'm pleased with this router. Looking forward to actually having 802.11ac clients to connect to it! :)

Much faster and better reception vs my old unit. I wish it had open VPN capabilities.

Very easy hook up. Replaced airport express from 2012 because off new fioptics that old router could not handle newer speeds. Just had to connect and enter the old security passwords and was off and running, could not have been easier.

I had no doubt that this would be a fantastic router, and I was right, works like a charm, reaches every floor of the house (stationed on main floor, reaches basement, second floor, and even our deck.)

This wireless device could not have been easier to set up. Coverage is AMAZING and better than my Netgear router. Looking forward to extending my network out to the pool yard by simply plugging in the Apple Airport.

Purchased the item after talking with sales person, and having not bought a WiFi router in over 4 years. Product went beyond what the sales person said in that it not only greatly extended the WiFi range in the house, but sped up connection speed far beyond my previous WiFi.

Automatically copied setting from an older airport. Super easy setup. Good coverage and signal. This is the fourth airport I've had and I love the setup. It's a little pricy but worth it especially if you have macs.

Great wi-if router...we love it! No problems connecting all our devices.
