This item was purchased as an add-on to our WiFi system which consists of a cable modem and Apple Time Capsule. We considered using range extenders to eliminate blind spots in our home network. The Best Buy salesperson recommended the Airport Extreme as a better alternative to provide faster transmission speeds because it will boost the signal as received rather than just retransmitting it. Because we did not try the other method first, we cannot vouch for the accuracy of the salesperson's statement; however, we are very satisfied and now have a strong signal throughout the house and into the yard.

Like the new design of the airport base station. It found the network ID quickly and was an ease to set up. My AirPort Extreme synced in with no problems. Stronger signal as well.

I was having issues with my apple airport express range and ability to manage multiple connections simultaneous. this thing works great and can reach my devices from a huge area.

Could not use multiple items with the airport express. With the AirPort Extreme everyone in the house can use their devices at the same time Also has greater range.

Good distance coverage, does its job well and best of all, internal backup of files, and/or computer. Easy setup and custom password protection.

Purchased this item based on the Apple name and the recommendation of the salesman. I have experienced no problems to date. The unit is everything I expected.

I purchased this router to replace my older AirPort Extreme. The range on this one is atleast 3 times farther than the previous gen! Thanks again Apple and Best Buy!

I got two of them so one of them can reach far enough to my detached guesthouse. It works. Not super strong, but works!

I have had this now over a year and never had any issues. Great for my home and there are no more dead spots. Works great for my 2 story home.

Had a little problem getting it to work until I noticed it came configured as an AP instead of a router. After changing that, it worked great. Love the airport utility for mt Ipad.

I upgraded my previous AirPort Extreme, it was 11 years old, and finally died. This one provides better coverage and a stronger signal. I'd buy it 10/10 times.

For whatever reason I have not had much luck with wireless routers over the last couple of years. I haven't bought the cheapest but always a well known brand. They last about a year and then either start doing weird things or just fail altogether. This time I decided I was going to pay for and hopefully get a more stable and long lasting router. I have multiple platforms, so I decided to go with the Apple. It was easy (real easy) to setup and an added benefit I wasn't expecting is better coverage. I now get "excellent" reception where I used to get "good" or "fair". I've been very happy so far, now I just need to know how long it is going to hold up!

Was having an issue with my Cisco WAP with IOS Devices. Would disconnect on a regular basis. Switch to the Airport Extreme and all problems vanished. Getting better speeds also.

We had trouble after trouble with our Asus router. Had enough. Got this and it took five minutes to set up and haven’t had an issue since. It. Just. Works.

For connecting to Apple devices I was told this is the best reliable connection device. So far it is working great.

We needed to extend our wifi to a detached building so wifi security cameras would work. This took no expertise to set up. Updating software was easy, that was done at the computer.

Purchased this to extend an existing network with an additional airport extreme. worked very well. Apple care is a great asset if there are any technical issues

No more problems with our internet since buying this. As with all Apple products, the setup was literally a no-brainer. Keeps multiple devices rolling.
