I don't really see increased speeds over the prior generation. It may that the signal has to go through concrete.

The Apple Airport is a must have, before i could not get connection when on the second floor of my house, since i got the airport i had no more issues getting a good signal.

I purchased this to upgrade from my old school AEBS which works perfectly fine but of course only provides 802.11n. With the new Airport Extreme you have get 802.11ac and can support more connections at once. I will probably hook the older one back up for more coverage but as of today I have not needed to do so. This new version out performs the old one in every possible way. My older Macbook Pro is 802.11n and maxes out wirelessly at 102MB down on our max speed of 100MB internet (live in a rural area). 1000% happy with this product and it does not get any easier to set up.

Apple products are virtually always high quality. This router is no exception. Easy to set up. Very good range that reaches my entire house easily.

When my previous router died I decided to get the AirPort Extreme. I've had it now for a couple months and have had no problems. Set up was easy and I was online in no time.

Very happy with this product. It is more powerful and a better design than my last extreme, which was a few years old.

I bought one of these to replace ' my router and now I have no connection problems and my speed is a lot faster. I wish I would have spent the extra bucks before on this one

I setup router very quick and had everything configured very easily. I appreciate the work Apple puts into their devices. Put device to work and let it do it's job well.....done.

I bought this to extend my wireless coverage and after a very short and easy setup period, (through the Apple app. in my Ipad), I was navigation in every corner of my house.

I'm pretty good with my computer and its devices. I could activate the device very easily. BUT my Verizon DSL would not communicate with it. I tried every way I could find, but to no avail. Verizon came out and found an issue with my line, but that did not resolve the connection with the Apple device. The one thing I would suggest is that Best Buy staff be more familiar with Verizon's extreme limitations. I recall that I went through this a few years ago when I bought a NetGear router. It worked exactly the same way. It lights up and communicates, but it cannot communicate with the Verizon DSL, so there's no Internet connection.

Was torn between Apple and Netgear spoke with sales people at several Best Buy stores to be sure of what I needed after reading the reviews. Glad I chose the Apple

Upgraded from smaller unit ... This one does not get as hot & we have barely touched the capability of this device

I love Apple and their products, this AirPort Extreme is no exception. Mine is on the floor next to my TV stand and it delivers signal all over my 1400 sq ft home. The signal drops a bit in the back of my house which I wouldn't expect from an AC device. I recommend putting this up higher for best results.

I had an older Apple Airport for many years. When it stopped working I want to replace it with one that had a dual band. Set up quickly and has work since setup. No problems,

I found this item easy to install and, as all Apple products, worked as advertised. Great price and provides a great upgrade to my previous version of the AirPort Extreme.

It's the best router I've ever had. It always has a great signal. I would recommend this product to everyone. It's decent price for the value you get from it.

Purchased this router after having tried the OnHub router without much success. This router was out of the box and set up in a matter of minutes. Very satisfied.

I have a lot of device and it works really well I sometimes loose connection but I don't think it's the router
