Our wifi problems were solved with this product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The connectivity and speed exceeds our expectations. We were getting ready to put in a ticket with our internet service provider but didn't have to after all.

Took Care of iMac Issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced NetGear WNDR3400 because connections with some PCs in the house were slow. My new iMac had the slowest SpeedTest results and it is only 12 ft away. The new router took care of the issues. It has a GB ethernet port and USB 3.0 port which the NetGear lacks. The Airport Extreme was 2X more than the NetGear, but I am done wasting evenings trying to resolve network performance issues. Although the AirPort has a slightly better range, don't expect miracles.

State of the art works with Windows!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You need to go on Apple site, go to support and type in Installing AirPort Extreme in Windows. There are NO instructions for installing in Windows included with the Airport. Download everything before you even attach your Airport. You need Mac's BootCamp, 7Zip, Airport Utility. Attach Airport and then open Utility the download to install in Windows. Make all your settings in Airport Utility. When you get to the Wireless tab, choose Automatic Radio Mode and MANUAL for RAdio Channel Selection. I run Windows 7 and chose Automatic 5GHz, 11 (2.4Ghz) That was the only odd thing. Something about the channel on Automatic is for Mac computers and you need a different channel in Windows so it doesn't get confused. Also...use a different name for your Airport and a different password. Windows gets confused about that, too, and tries to use its old router. I have better reception upstairs and all over the house.

This is Apple's best router by far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wife and I just moved to Colorado in July of this year. We started off using a router supplied by Comcast but kept running into problems with their routers. I decided to ditch their router that they supplied and buy my own. This router is amazing. The antennas on this router are awesome. We live in a very large house 3500 square feet with two stories. We get a perfect signal within every room of the house. We did situate the router in the middle of the house. We hooked up our printer to the router and now have wireless printing. The only thing I don't like about the router is the price. Seems awfully steep.

Easy setup, strong signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sets up easily really guy out of the box. Third airport product I have owned and they have improved each time. The Airport utility is a simple user interface that takes the setup out of your hands. However it offers the complexity and versatility needed by more complex networks. Love the 2.4GHz and 5.0 GHz options as well since I tend to have a lot of network interference near by.

Good speed, range, and easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on a whim to see just how well it would work based upon reviews. Already had an Apple Airport express wireless router hooked to my cable modem and another one about 75 feet away to relay the signal. Also have Zyxel power line adapters spread throughout the house. I had just signed up for faster internet thru Cox and wanted to increase wireless speeds. Decided to try this versus the 2 router setup. Works great. We now get 2-3 bars on the 5GHZ band in the 2 farthest bedrooms. With just one airport express, the signal wouldn't travel that far. With 2 airport express it would reach those bedrooms but the speed would be cut way down. With 2-3 bars reception in the 2 furthest bedroom now with just the AirPort Extreme, we get 75-90 Mbps speed on a 150 Mbps cable internet connection. With the 2 router setup I was getting 15-25 Mbps. We have 15 internet devices in our home ranging from iMac, 2 iPads, 2 iPad minis, 4 iPhones, MacBook Air, TiVo, wireless printer, and 3 Apple TVs that are all hooked to the AirPort Extreme that are humming along nicely on the 5Ghz band. TiVo and printer are on 2.4 MHz band since the don't need the higher speeds. I would recommend plus the setup took about 5 minutes on my MacBook Air.

Great overall WiFi coverage for entire home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple AirPort Extreme is easy and takes very little time to setup. This was recommended by my next door neighbor as I was unhappy with the coverage I was getting with my previous router. I will say that it reaches all three floors of our home, including the basement, with no problem.

Good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product! Easy to setup quickly. After the 1st week it randomly quit recognizing the connected internet, after a reset everything has been fine since. I love all apple products but this was more expensive than I feel it should be given what it does compared to other brands.

Much better than the previous gen. Airport Extreme
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a failing Airport Extreme from 2008. The range on this model is vastly better. It took some tweaking to get it to play nice with my Xfinity cable modem, but I think that's more the cable modem's fault. Very good performance so far. Would highly recommend.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an Apple person and needed to upgrade my old Airport Extreme(the old Spaceship shaped one). Runs at 1.3 gps. Much better coverage. Pretty easy set up(I don't do the setup very often and the "lingo" hung me up a bit). As always, Apple products work better and worth the extra money so I don't have to worry about compatibility issues.

Best buy for the money for any Mac, PC or gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best WiFi router/hotspot/access point for Macs, PCs and even phones and hand held games (DS, DSi, 3DS, PSP and PSP Vita). Actually has multiple transmitters, one for 2.4 AND one for 5 GHz. Unlike most access points this allows older devices to access the network while the newer ones get to use 5 GHz. This avoids most of the 2WIRE noise in my neighborhood.
