Fine router, but it works better in all apple eco
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a mixture of work PC's, Gaming desktops, and Macs in home, While the range is great and I never have to worry about it dropping a signal there is limited functionality if I want to configure it through my PC, had to use my macbook pro or iphone with the airport app. And it won't read back NTFS external media so all external drives connected have to be formatted in journal. Overall fine device, but if you have a main device that's running windows just get a EA9500, better bandwith and super easy to use.

After the previous two kept having to be restarted, I decided I'd give Apple a shot since I enjoy a few other of their products. Upside is I have to restart much less with the downside being that I have to restart at all. Also, my previous routers seemed to have a much longer reach in my house. I had to purchase a wifi extender to reach my bedroom. I'm also a little disappointed in the lack of wifi management that you can perform with this unit compared to other brands. Other units allowed me to find unknown devices that were connecting to my wifi and block them. Apple does not offer this amount of control.
