not the fastest, but works well, easy to set up and keeps a strong consistent signal. very pleased with this well made product.

I had to upgrade my old netgear and when I went into best buy I asked the sales person to talk to me about the routers now available. The apple airport extreme seemed to be the best item that fit my needs since my household has more than one or two items that run off the wireless network. once installed all of the devices in the house ( 3 smart phones, 4 computers) had no issue connecting to the internet and it stopped the computers from falling in and out of the wireless connection.

Do yourself a favor and buy this router. I've had about half a dozen routers and this one by far has the longest, strongest signal, with no drops or fade-outs. The setup took maybe 2 minutes. Finally no more complaints from the wife and kids about lousy or slow wifi. We can all be on it at the same time with no issues. The last time I looked there were 14 devices connected to it. You won't regret buying this, not to mention it looks good too. As with all Apple products, it's well made.

Replaced Lynksys... Better range, no need to reset all the time , simple set up using app for iPad. Would recommend to everyone

The Airport Extreme is a great product. It was very easy to setup and and increased both the range and speed of my wifi. I cant wait to try it with a new Macbook Air to show its true ac speed. As with all Apple products you pay a little more but the Quality is well worth it.

It replaced a first generation Apple AirPort Extreme - definitely faster with wider range. Works great and was easy to set up.

I purchased this router because my previous router firewall was having difficulty with an iPhone 6 and reporting DOS, ping of death, and teardrop attacks. The old router was slowing down and this appears to be a problem with IPV6 addressing in the old router. This router was very easy to set up and configure using the AirPort Extreme app, and we were up and running in no time. The router has worked flawlessly and we have not experience any slowdowns.

After several years of counting on my Linksys router to get me through my busy workdays in my home office, the router just couldn't keep up the increased demand of my work life and with my new home's configuration. It finally and gave it's hint by freezing up on one of my crucial work days. I immediately went and purchased the Airport Extreme to get myself back online. While it was pricey, it was well-worth it and now I can work from any where in my home, including my back patio. Great range!

This product was very easy to set up, and works great with all of my products. The signal is much better than my last router.

This is not what I went to the store for but I am glad the salesperson talked me into it. I never thought about "going apple" for my home network. Works great, easy setup, I wish there were 4 LAN ports instead of 3, but I made it work. Wife and kids are happy with increased speed/coverage, so that makes me happy.

If you are a Mac user and want to set it up as your primary Internet Access Router, setup is very simple. You may need to update your Airport Utility, for which you will be automatically prompted, and then follow the setup wizard and you are done. In most cases, there will also be an immediate firmware update to the Airport Extreme device. (This is the embedded software inside.) Setup is a little tricky if you want to use as an Access Point. That is where you already have a Router and want to add WiFi capability. You will need to use the Advanced/Manual setup. You will probably want to assign a static IP to the Airport Extreme. One thing that is great is that if you already have any Apple Airport setup, the Airport Extreme can be used to extend the WiFi coverage area. Your entire coverage area will have the same WiFi network name (SSID) making your WiFi experience seamless. The Airport Extreme seems to be 100% backward compatible with all WiFi protocols, 802.11b/g/n without issue. If you don't mind the premium price, it is a great device. Finally, the Airport Extreme works equally well for Windows environments as well. The Airport utility is available for both Mac and Windows.

Have tried a few wifi routers & this one has the strongest coverage yet. It's also very easy to setup. Highly recommended!
