Easy Install, Bad Performance

I read several reviews praising the ease-of-use and the speed of this unit. Setup was a piece of cake, but the performance of the unit is very disappointing. Although my laptop says the connection speed is the same as the NetGear, webpages take much longer to load. You can get much better speed out of the NetGear or Linksys models from my experience, and they cost less than half. My recommendation would be the Linksys as it lasted 5 years versus 18 months for the NetGear.

Wifi Extender

I have it connected directly to my FIOS router which is upstairs via Ethernet cable in my family room downstairs. Prior to install, signal was hit or miss. Now it's strong. Recommended. If you want to save some money, try the Airport Express, it may be all you need.
