Very easy setup. Was hoping that using this was going to improve my wifi speeds instead of the router that my service provider provided. It did not.

Pre purchase reviews were favorable to this router. It has been very disappointing in various ways. First, it has to be reset at least twice a week. This means going to the location where it is and unplugging it, waiting then plugging it back in. Second, the speed is average at best. We usually have several things running wifi (iPhones, laptops, iPads, smart TV's) 2-4 at a time. House is not that big so distance should not be a big problem. Reliability has been disappointing.

This router has been amazing! After using the router supplied by Comcast for years and always suffering from sub-par performance when compared to the speeds I was paying for, I took the plunge and bought the Apple - AirPort Extreme Wireless Base Station. Not only have my downloand speeds more than tripled to what I'm actually paying for, the strength and range of the signal is remarkable. My phone connects to my WiFi 2-3 houses away when I'm coming home. I never had that kind of range before. Of course you'll especially need to make sure you have the router password protected and encripted but that is part of the setup. Speaking of the setup, it was the best I've ever experienced. I have an Apple laptop, iPad and iPhone and they just worked with no special settings or anything which is to be expected but I also have a PC that connected w/o any problems either. Yes it's a little pricy but I've found it well worth the money. I no longer suffer from dropped connections and can stream movies without the constant stopping and starting. It seems kind of strange a product for doing what its supposed to do, its just that it does it so well and easily that its unusual. To sum it up - Buy this, you won't regret it!
