After about a year an 1/2 my Linksys Router stop working. It had first started to slow down and then finally broke. The Apply Extreme was very simple to setup and is easy to monitor if need be using an app on my Iphone. The wifi speed is much faster than the Linksys and enables multiple users to have fast internet speeds. Highly recommend this product.

I have gone through several other routers and all of them would have to be shutdown and restarted on a daily basis. I decided to do with the Apple product because I was happy with all my other apple products. Plug it in and easy setup and now I don't have to restart it every day!

the speed is excellent and longer signal levels throughout my home

Even though our house isn't huge, we were having trouble getting a strong wireless connection in all rooms. This was especially a problem when more than one person was using an electronic device. The AirPort Extreme has taken care of that problem. We now have a solid wireless connection throughout the house, and are able to use multiple devices at once.

I'm an Apple fan. They just make good stuff and stand by it. This is no exception. It was ahead of it's time when it came out, and it's still relative and fast now. Everyone I've recommended this due to it's simplicity, versatility and awesome connectivity has been 100% happy. Try it, if you're not happy, just return it.

The AirPort Extreme router is very powerful and easy to setup on my phone. I have gotten speed on spectrum cable 138 mbps and lowest had been 35mbps. Those speed are on the router's wifi with 30 devices on it. The last AirPort Extreme we had lasted 7 years and never had to mess with it. I replaced it with this one and has been a great upgrade. With directional attennas that seek out devices and increase power toward them. AirPort Extreme is very dependable and is a devise that don't have to mess with. Not matter if you have power outages or when cable providers go down - once power or cable comes back up the AirPort Extreme connects smoothly without help. I can't praise it enough. I highly recommend as a tech.

I have used several wireless routers over the years. This one is by far the easiest to set up. You just connect it and then use the Air Port utility on the Mac, iPad or iPhone to configure it. This process is menu driven and involves setting passwords for security (you do use passwords don't you) and the SSID which is the ID that the router will broadcast. Other routers I have used require connecting the router to a computer and accessing a set up program which is less than transparent to the non-technical user. Air Port Extreme uses the latest protocols and has a the capability of directing its antennas to give the best coverage. I have a large house so I added and Air Port Express to increase coverage. One caveat - set up is easier with Apple products. Works fine with my PC's, Android phone etc.

Excellent performance, reliability, ease of set up and appearance. Would be nice to have a couple more Ethernet ports, but with 802.11ac this is less important in the future. I've tried Linksys, WD, D-Link and this is far superior.

I spoke with the rep at Best Buy that was in the networking section there. They recommended a NetGear or ASUS solution and I bought one of their midline AC1750 Routers. They also told me that it had been on sale the week before and they thought it would be reduced in the near future, so I held off opening the box. Was watching for sales and a search let me to this Apple piece which was on sale at BB. Researched it and decided to return the original purchase and get the Apple which was with the Macs and not in the Networking section. Glad I did. Very strong performer. Streams throughout my single story home as well as the back porch and around the pool. Streaming movies to an outdoor theater is in the cards now.
