I thought when I have seen it that it will provide something different than the others in the market. I didn't see that

Not sure that it is worth the amount of money paid for it.

Ease of use was very low. Constant dropping. Bad signal. Maybe I got a dud, but I was disappointment and ended up returning it.

First off, I am everything Apple. I have the MacBook Pro,iPods,iPads Iphone 5, etc. Setup was easy, I did it with my iPhone. Performance, however, was not what I expected. I was trying to replace an Asus N16 router. The range was not any better, and for some reason I got inconsistent results with download tests. Perhaps I didn't tweak the settings properly, but for the money I decided to just stick with my Asus.

I was hoping it would work better than my old AirPort router, but so far I haven't noticed a difference!

Lacks some of the features needed in Home Networking. Great for People beginning Home Networking.

Overall disappointed in this product, my connection continuously dropped even when I was hard wired directly into i overall disappointed in this product, my connection continuously dropped Unless I was hard wired directly into the airport. Did not have good range even in my small two bedroom apartment I had to be centrally located to access Wi-Fi

Works better than what I had before, but still drops off regularly, just for shorter periods of time.

I expect exceptional performance from Apple, and I didn't get that this time. Still gets the job done.

Had problems with it, had to reset it a lot. Only lasted 2 Years then died..

I love apple products but if you have internet speeds above 50Mbps and live in an older house and do not have an AC enabled product this router is sub par. Rather get the older dual band N router online for cheaper. The Netgear Nighthawk AC router performed way better and is the same price. First time I was ever disappointed by an apple product other than the performance issues I ran into it has amazing coverage and ease of installation. I will always luv apple and have apple products but this is a fail and AC is in draft so hopefully the next version is better!

Have to be on the main level for full coverage; sketchy in other areas.

After two years it stops working. The fan stops working. This seems to be common.

Range is not as good as the ASUS routers. Works well with Apple envoirnoment

My son Went to Best Buy to buy a Asus router at the recommendation of my home IT guy to run our home security cameras and internet. Sales person recommended this router instead. Said it was much better. After 2 months of technical non support by Apple and my IT guy unable to run cameras remotely unless left in unsecured format, we gave up and took it back for the Asus. Store only gave us credit. We have all Apple electronics. Asus router was up and running in minutes. Very disappointed.

I bought this hoping it would work with my android and it didn't. Pretty dissapointing

I purchased the Airport extreme with the hope of better performance. In particular I was anticipating increased range. Range with the Airport Extreme is terrible, much less than non-apple 3 year old Wireless-N router. My family also complained about increased wifi drops immediately. In addition my internet access also seems slower. I've read various online methods of decreasing drops, but I can't see how any of the methods would help to improve range. Plus it seems so non-apple like to have to mess with the settings to get basic performance which I didn't have to do with my previous wifi router. I'm not pleased and will be putting my old wireless-N router back in service when I can find the time. It was a waste of money and time.

We are still not able to install it right way due to the way my House is built.
