Super fast, great coverage and easier to install than Linksys which would not work at all. Can connect to products other than Apple with no issues. Would recommend highly.

Excellent router. I have Fios and was using their Actiontec router, which is horrible 90% of the time. My wireless speeds were 15Mbps/7Mbps. After installing the router, which you can do with Mac or iPad easily or the utility software for Windows, my speed increased dramatically. I am now getting 57Mbps/30Mbps. A huge difference. The range is also excellent. I use this at home and at work. If you're someone with a larger house, you can get the airport express and put it in an area with weaker signal strength and extend the signal.

Replaced a 2007 Airport Extreme (2nd Generation). I was frustrated with the range, speed and lack of dual bands. An Airport Express was installed to help extend the wireless range. Our home infrastructure was in desperate need of a boost, especially since more of my recent purchases are and will be internet connected. (i.e. smart TV(s), iPad(s), laptop(s), smart phones, thermostat, music speakers, video streaming devices) Concerns of using an Apple product in a technology divided house (Apple, Android, Windows, Kindle) were put to rest very quickly. All devices are accessing the internet all over the house. Conversion to the new Airport was ridiculously easy. Next step for our infrastructure is to update the cable modem to a DOCSIS 3.0 standard.

I previously owned a Linksys EA4500 and that router was good to me. I noticed that there times (more often as time went on) where I needed to reset the router because the WiFi signal was not being sent out. I decided to invest and purchase the Airport Extreme after reading reviews on it and I was glad I did. The speed is noticably faster and movies and show stream much smoother on my Apple TV. I noticed a difference when I performed a speed test with my PS4 compared to the Linksys. One thing I noticed is that it stays cooler than the Linksys. Everything is working great and if you have the money to pay for this router, I completely recommend it.

If you have more than 10 wireless devices and the majority are apple users then this is greater to extend your wifi range. (Not too sure with use with non apple devices). I did notice a subtly increase in internet loading time but I only noticed on apple devices. It is easy to set up and is esthetically pleasing.

It has been a couple of years but we have moved everything in our house to apple. This was the last pice of the puzzle. I was having issues with my three year old router so this was the only logical choice, happy that i made the switch to another apple product.

The Wi Fi signal from the Spectrum Technicolor router would not get to the far corner of our house. I bought the Nighthawk they recommended and still could not get a signal to the far end. The extreme not only gets a 2 bar signal there but we can watch video with no buffering. The WiFi signal is also much better than the Nighthawk. The extreme is 2.72 times faster in testing before I removed the nighthawk. All of our other devices are Apple products and I do not know if that makes a difference.

This is a great addition to my home internet setup. My wifi signal has great improved. I have the ability now to hook my external hard drive to the Airport Extreme, and save to it at any time. It is sleek, and easy to put out of sight.

I've been having non stop internet issues and ended up looking online for various problem shooting and read on forums and all that. I stumbled upon this Apple Base Station and since I knew I had a lot of Apple brand products, like my iPhones, MacBook, apple Tv, etc I knew this was my best bet on a new router. You don not have to own an Apple product in order for you to own this and for it to work, it will work for android, chrome, windows, etc. I'm really happy and glad that I spent the money for this.

My download speed quadrupled the moment I fired it up, and if you have a spare external drive you can configure yourself a Time Capsule. Just be a good shopper, I got mine for $139.00 a few weeks ago from another seller.

I was tired of constantly having to reboot my ISP's slow combo modem and wireless access point, so I thought I'd try the Airport Extreme. I'm quite glad I did. This thing gives me solid, reliable WiFi throughout my house.

Had to replace my Linksys and Airport express. I'm telling you that there is significant difference on speed and connection! My internet is faster and covers the whole house with no spotty connection. I recommend this !

I was really excited when apple makes the ac router. There is no doubt it is easy to set up. However, it hasn't performed better my old linksys router. The range is a little bit better. My connection speed is about the same. One thing I realized that it took longer for a device to connect to router. Sometime my devices showed connections but could not get on the Internet. I have to wait for 1-2 minutes before I can get online. Really? My linksys router works better than that. Tried to return it but apple store return policy is only 2 weeks. That surprised me because standard return is 30 days. Hope they will release new firmware to fix it. I am sure it is a good router. But my advice is to hold until apple fixes all the bugs.

Great range and super easy setup with the iOS app. Would be even faster if I actually had a computer that uses wireless AC.

what took a Verizon tech support 2 hours to figure out took airport extreme 20 seconds...I just had Fios installed and noticed my wi-fi download/upload speeds maxed out at 4mps in certain rooms. Verizon tech support mentioned their wireless router has a range that doesn't exceed 10-20' leaving some rooms completely dead. I literally plugged this in and within 20 seconds went from 4mps to 35...have all four devices installed in under 2 minutes...again this is why I own Apple products

I have had the apple Airport base station for about a month now and it as never let me down. I love Apple products because they work just like any add will tell you. Well worth the money.

Easy to setup and even even easier to use - seamless integration with all Apple products.

I have setup this router in a 3-story home with Airport Express extenders on each of the above floors. Works beautifully. I would recommend this device wholeheartedly.

The Apple Airport Extreme is a great router. Easy set up and great signal strength.
