Purchased to replace a Linksys router that was having all kinds of problems. Only had for about a month now but I really like the simplicity. I have some smart home products like Nest and Ring and they seem to connect with no problems.

Not the best router on the market, but ease of setup and use make it a good buy. Especially for Apple user.

Fantastic product - so easy to set up; performance is absolutely rock solid and sends an incredibly strong signal around the house. Fantastic upgrade - worth every penny.

ONCE YOU HAVE IT SET UP, it works great. 1: power down your modem 2: install and turn on the router. 3: Plug your modem back in. Also, the USB port supports a hard drive or printer. However, they are only accessible from a PC or MACbook. You can not access it from your IPhone or IPad. Stupid I know! If you want storage options, go ahead and pay for the Time Capsule. Other than that, this thing has good range and a reliable signal, even at a distance.

Ive tried other routers but they only last a year or so before needing replacement. I bought an AirPort Extreme 10 Years ago and it still works like it’s brand new! This particular Extreme I bought a few months and it works tremendously. The price at first may scare people away but it actlually saves you money in the long run since those “other routers” you have to replace every few years. Apple’s routers are built to last and well worth your money. It has great range, provides fast speed, and does the job better than the rest.

This was a huge upgrade from my previous router. I have over 30 wireless devices and I don't have any issues with connectivity.

After my Linksys ($299) died after a few months, I decided to try the Airport; wow, what a difference. Now I have coverages where I didn't have before in the house. I should have purchased this for my house first and could have saved $300 and a headache.

We were looking to set ups mesh network. Bought two top rated mesh routers . The coverage was just ok . Then I read an article comparing the different routers and went out and bought 3 airport extremes and easily set up an apple mesh network. Wow. Apple has had it all along they just don't advertise it ! It's sooooo much faster. So get airport extremes and in the first setup create a wireless network. Then on the addition extremes when setting up just say you want to connect to the original wireless network and your Done! That easy and super fast !

this item is very easy to manage. for someone just looking for adding a decent router to their home network or someone needing a device that allows for advanced settings like port forwarding, this router fits the bill on both accounts.

we had the previous model of the airport extreme and when it died over 5 years later we knew which one we were going with immediately due to other brands not even lasting a couple of years. being a family that streams for tv this products supports our needs

I bought AprPort Express at first becase I live in 1 bed room condo.However, it was slower than I thought and its connection was not stable. Extreme is much faster thant Express and network is more stable. I don't have to worry losing connection with Apple TV.

The only drawback for me was the price... But with a house full of Apple products... IMac, MBPro, iPad, iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, I have already made a significant investment with Apple products so while the price really made me think twice... I am really happy with it. I setup my network name, and created a guest network as well... Because I could. I have not had to reboot it once since I set it up. I have attached a USB drive to it so I can do time machine backups.... Of any of my computers. Only problem now is I need a larger hard drive! All in all.... I love it, and would highly recommend to anyone.

The Airport Express I have doesn't have wifi coverage to the rest of the house. This base station is positioned where I get great coverage through the whole 2 story house. Very simple to set up.

This router replaced an Airport Extreme and Airport Express in my home. It has the same range as the two other routers has by itself. It is also giving my much better transfer rates at distances of approx 40 feet away. I don't have any devices with AC yet, but I can tell you that it is a quality product working with wireless N. The new look is nice, but it is much taller than the older models. All in all, I am glad I made the purchase and I've had zero issues with it in the first month.

Before we got the airport extreme, we had trouble with wifi in certain areas, like out on our deck. Now that we have this we have no problem. Had a little trouble connecting to direct tv, but found out it was our box, once direct tv gave us a new box we were fine.

Works great. I had the netgear nighthawk and had nothing but issues and needed to consistently reboot the router. Not with the apple extreme. Great signal strength and no more router reboots.

I have a three story home and I had my modem on the middle level. I had connection issues and lag time on the 1st and 3rd level, no matter the devices used. I moved the modem and added my AirPort Extreme to the 3rd level. I no longer have connection issues or lag time. My son games, my daughter connects on her laptop and I can watch Netflix all at the same time. Why didn't I get this sooner? I have the 2nd gen in my classroom that is still working after 7 years. This is my first home purchase and I am extremely satisfied after a month!

This is AWSOME !!! My internet speeds are over 100 Mbps. Every space of my home as great speeds...this is a must for anyone who has many wireless demands.

Took less than 10 minutes to install and configure. Limited configuration, but works great and is fast!

The range of this router has been great and it has plenty of ethernet lines and other connections. Reliability has been somewhat suspect. I've been dealing with continual issues of the internet just dropping and I have to reboot the router. I've tried changing the channels and use the 5 ghz when I can, but for some reason continue to run into issues. I only reduced one star because I'm not 100% sure if this is just a user issue.
