I bought this because my older time capsule died and I was left with using my U-verse wireless router, which had a very limited range. This was an improvement over both (especially the u-verse), but this was more a "future proof" purchase for me since it has ac capabilities, even though I don't own any ac devices at this time. Far less blind spots in my house now, but those will improve when I upgrade to ac I'm sure.

This router may not have the most extensive feature set, but it is reliable. Reliability is the most important factor to me when it comes to a wireless router. I tried D-Link, TP-Link and Linksys - but I came back to Apple!

Awesome unit. Says up to 3500 ft but coverage seems smaller. I added 4 Airport Express units in my 5500 sq ft house to get enough range. Like the units communicate together and not have to change between network names= EASY

Strong Router with great distance, works well with my mac and can be reached from the other side of the house and outside with a strong signal

I have large family with many devices always needing a solid wifi connection. After many failed attempts at other solutions, I purchased this and all issue resolved immediately and it has worked without one single interruption.

Needed to upgrade my home router. Did some research on-line and went into Best Buy with my selection. However once I got there and started to speak about what I wanted/needed, the sales associate convinced me to get the Apple product for the range, price and ease of set up. He also said I had 2 weeks to return if I didn't like it. Well I love it! It is so easy to set up. The range is awesome and the number of available connections is great. For the price, this router is the way to go. Plus it has a sleek design if that is a concern.

My husband and I purchased the AirPort Extreme to replace the Express model we’d been using the last few years. We didn’t realize that even though we’d been paying TimeWarner for the Extreme internet 200mbps upgrade, we weren’t actually getting that download speed due to the Airport Express capping it at no more than 100mbps (we were averaging 65mbps) until I called TWC and the rep explained it to me. He had me bypass the router and was now magically getting 235 mbps. With the upgrade to the AirPort Extreme we are finally getting the download speed we’ve been paying for. Well worth the money. Plus I was super excited to discover it was on sale when we got to the store as it’s so hard to find Apple products on sale.

We are very happy with the product, we can be online at the same time as our kids, over the holidays we had a lot of company and had a lot of issues with our old router (extended family which needed to check work email, get on internet to buy things....) which is why we bought this. Also the range goes further within the house. I have already recommended this to several people! We also got Apple TV for Christmas and were not able to download / stream movies with the old router which frustrated us and with the Apple router it works perfect!

This was the easiest set up ever . I also have iPhones and a Mac book pro which made it even easier. It works wonderfully like all of my other Apple products. High quality ease of use well worth the money

Great product goes great with another base station... You can connect up to 50 devices via wifi and the way I have network setup you don't need a Ethernet cable to it cause it pass signal via wifi with my other Apple base station..

First off this is my second AirPort Extreme, and I've wanted to get my hands on one of these every since it came out. It's a snap to set up with the airport utility app and you can monitor whose on it and what their signal strength is. Also works very well with the iPhone 5s for lightning fast wifi browsing. As I said this is my second one had the other since 2008 along with a 2008 Mac mini, I also have a 2013 i5 Mac Mini. Awesome apple product and takes up very little space I would not own another router, seriously it's that good!

This is used for my business and I've had other apple routers for my other businesses. I've never had one go bad and they all still work. Also they are the easiest to setup

This thing is great! So easy to set up typically Apple. What’s always the bigger plus is their tech support. I did have a question about this Airport and they helped me quickly and cool about it. Love it

So far, this has been the best router I have ever purchased. Great range throughout the house and greatly improved wireless transfer speeds between all my devices. Could not be happier with the performance of this router!

All you have to do is pick a SSID name and password and it is up and running with a WPA2 encryption. You can also use it to join an existing wireless network and act as a signal booster. I have never had a quicker and easier to setup router. I use it for general purpose VPN, WebEx remote sessions, netflix, iTunes, hosting my iTunes library in my house for my Apple TV devices around the house. It works like a champ. I linked the cable modem I am using with this wireless router for anyone that just wants something that works.

Set up in minutes with my iPhone and solved all of our wifi issues in a snap. We have multiple devices running and could not get things running smoothly until we picked this up. The range is unreal and it is worth every penny.

Apple Airport Extremes are excellent routers and this is the third one I've purchased personally. I've put them in my home as well as my business and have been very pleased with the performance. You get what you pay for. :)

So the technician said that it wasn't going to help much but it DID HELP ALOT I have a two floor house and the modem is in a room upstairs and my computer is in a room down stairs and the speed is FAST

I bought this base station to replace our ailing Lynksys router. I wish I had done it sooner. Our wifi signal has improved greatly, even at the other end of the house. We use MacBooks here, and setup was very very simple.

The AirPort Extreme is very quick and easy to set up, and seems to have better range than any other router I’ve owned. We have about 10 devices that connect to it, and have noticed any speed drop off.
