I finally got up the courage to replace my old Apple Extreme Airport. The 1st generation Apple "802.11 n" didn't support the new iPhone 6's and our new iMac with "802.11 AC". My previous Apple airport worked flawlessly for 5+ years but I wanted to have faster wifi for my new devices. The new Airport was a great upgrade. Using the Airport Utility program (natively present on all Apple computers and a free download for iPhones) set up was a snap. The utility asked me if I wanted to replace my old Airport and then it copied the settings over to my new one. The new 802.11 AC is worth every penny. My speed is now hundreds of times faster and I can finally take full advantage of the Verizon FIOS in my home.

these wireless AC units will blow away anything on the market! I took out 3 unifi ap-ac units and replaced them with 3 of these and they haven't failed once! I've been pushing them out to all our clients!

I don’t know why other brands haven’t caught on and made router set up at easy as this one. Because it usually is such a pain to change or set up a new router. This was a cinch!!!

Great router if you have mac computers and idevices. Extremely fast with great range. Super easy to setup, this is probably the most hassle free router to use on the market today. Compatible with windows users as well, but if you're more invested in the apple ecosystem you will get more benefit out of this product. Works great with AppleTV and other devices for airplay. Extremely stylish, find a place to display it because it meshes well with almost all home decor. Tastefully minimalist, and without the annoying blinking lights present on all other routers.

Hello I am computer illiterate. And I was able to install this with no hassle. It works great. I had the time warner wifi modem unit and because I leave in a appartment to many walls wiuld block signal these are like olaster walls. And the Apple Base Wifi is GREAT. We have no drop signal at all my Kids don't complain when they are waching videos or when we are all on wifi. This item is perfect. And is idiot proof. Any one can install even if you don't know squad of comouters. Wich is the case with me. But However I do kmow a product when it do what it promots. And Th e Apple Base it walks the walk and talks the walk. Even my neighbor up stairs said my signal was lot strunger and better then his I gave him acces for a day.

I been using this item for 3-4 years already. I bought another to extend into the man cave on other side of house. With both working in tandem i have 4 bars throughout the house and surrounding yard.

Only purchase the best for my clients. Airport Extreme consistently pushes out the best signal strength and has the least amount of drops. Best bang for the buck. Wouldn't purchase any other router.

Router works great after getting it installed. It was supposed to set up automatically, but after working for a few hours reboot of the cable modem and router were required. This happened several times. After multiple calls to the cable company they referred me to Apple and they led me through a manual set up that has worked. This should not be necessary.

This router was by far the easiest I have ever setup in my life. I really like the fact that the device "plays well" with my other Apple devices and my non-Apple devices are easy to use as well.

I needed a stronger, more powerful WI-FI signal in my house. I owned an Airport Express (which I have had for several years), but it was not reaching our outside patio, and load times for movies purchased online were long. I replaced it with this Airport Extreme, and have been extremely impressed. Online movies and shows stream almost instantly. The signal is very strong, reaching the outside patio with ease. I am very happy with this investment.

Okay, I don't normally review products, even though I read a lot of others reviews before I make my purchases. I have had an Apple iPhone sense the 3G model, currently using the iPhone 6, and I have "never" had a single problem with any of them. In the past year, I bought the Apple TV and it too works like a champ. I recently purchased two iPad minis. Love them! It only made perfect sense to purchase an Apple AirPort Extreme wifi router with dual band and the AC technology in 5G band. It replaced an old "N" router. It has tripled my download speeds. It works flawless as well, works with all my devices and I am very pleased with my decision. Simple setup as well. Up and running in minutes.

Great product. Super fast. Device setup was seamless with the apple airport app. increased the network speed by 25% over my old AirPort Extreme.

I needed a better wireless router. Set this up as a bridge, but you can easily adjust the settings to make this the real workhorse it is. Google it.

Great coverage and speed. Easy to setup. Most of my devices are apple and this works seemlessly with them.

This is the easiest thing in the world to set up! I can connect all of my iMac computers and devices to it and it backs them all up (with a flash drive). I can't believe I ever lived without it!

We were in need of a new wireless router for our home. We wanted one that would give us a signal through the house. This one has done that and more. The range is unbelievable.

Was extremely easy to set up--thanks to Geek Squad help. Works easy with my current apple products and has an easy interface. Probably slightly overpriced for comparable/better products if you don't have all Apple products at your home. Sped our internet up slightly, but did increase the range of the signal in our home--entire 3000sqft is covered now.

It was time to get a new router and I wanted something that would be best for my apple products, so i bought the Air Port Extreme. It is fast and reliable. I am happy I went with this router.

Fantastic range (covers my 1980, 2 story, 2800 ft^2 home with ease), easy setup and can migrate from older Airport Extremes, works with AirPrint devices, and has been rock solid for over a month now. Only draw back is price! So, 4 stars.
