This unit worked great in adding range and expandability in an existing 2 story home where adding network runs wasn't possible.

Easy to install and never had problem with download speed on my MacBook,iPhone ,iPad and Apple TV. Very happy with the purchase.

I had an Apple Time Capsule, so I bought this to connect to it and extend my network. Works great with my 3 Apple computers.

I was well satisfied with the product, easy to install . It took less than minutes to connect to the the net.

I bought this to get improved Internet speed and coverage in my house. We have at least six products using the Internet at any given time. I noticed an immediate speed and coverage increase. This baby is way past wicked fast! I'm definitely glad I upgraded.

This product works just like you'd hope, given its intended use is with Apple products. If it hadn't worked with a MacBook and MacAir I would have been concerned. I never have any issues with the network dropping in the house which is a refreshing change from my previous router. Don't forget about the ability to plug any external HD into this to make it a Network Drive. This lets you skip the expensive and dare I say over priced offerings from Apple (even though they probably work perfectly with Apple products). Plugging into the router lets you use this network drive for your TimeMachine backups which is great as other routers, even if they support a External HD, won't permit you to back up through your network. This of course is by design from Apple. There are ways to make the network drive backups work with other routers but this is just all around easier.

With the modem/router from our cable provider, we would often lose the wifi connection not just in our yard, but even in our home. Our neighbors, whose house is over 150 feet from ours, gave us the password for their wifi, and we would oftentimes be on it in our home without even knowing it, because we would connect automatically when we lost our own signal. We bought the same modem and router as the neighbors have and now we are always on our own network.

This is extremely easy to install and configure. I've installed this unit at most of my customers homes and never had an issue.

Many of our wifi devices wouldn't work (or would work sporadically) with our previous router). Once we installed this router (which was easier than any I've ever installed before), everything worked perfectly. We've had the device for 2 months, and haven't had any problems.

So sorry to hear that Apple is discontinuing the Airport Extreme. I've had the current model for a couple of years now and have had excellent coverage and speed. It just works...and works well! I hope Apple, reconsiders refreshing the line...I know they could do wonders with a Mesh product!
