I had used the Airport Express in my small home for about two years and it worked well. But after I added DIRECTV and a couple more device it couldn't keep up. This AirPort Extreme not only solved my problem but made everything faster with a seemless transition.

Using Apple WiFi products makes establishing and extending wifi networks a breeze.

The router works great, and you can attach a USB external hard drive to use time capsule on your Macs. Expensive and may be unnecessary if you do not have Apple products and do not need time capsule backup system.

Replaced an older Airport Extreme. Very quick and easy setup. Would not think of using anything else

Removed old router and installed this one in less than five minutes. About the only thing that needed to be done was update a couple of system passwords and it worked. It even works better than the much older AirPort Extreme router (which was about 8 years old).

I was initially hesitant to purchase this router, simply because I normally do the combo modem+router, but as of late my internet has been really bad -- read: I pay for 150mbps and was getting 2mbps via wi-fi. I went ahead and took the plunge and now my internet is going at 170mbps via wi-fi. I am really happy with this router and it is definitely paying for itself since my household is cordless and we stream everything.

There are few things worth nothing. First, the Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS) has much better range than your average router. To be sure, the top of the line Linksys or Netgear will probably perform similarly, but then price differences disappear at that point. Second it has AC compatibility so is somewhat future proofed. Most importantly, if you are using Apple equipment (Mac, iPhone, iPad, etc) it really is the best router since there are management tools built right into OSX or within the iOS Appstore. Finally, most folks don't know this but if you buy any Mac within a year of when you buy your AEBS and get Applecare, that warranty will also apply to the AEBS. So, you can essentially get 4 years of warranty for zero additional dollars when you buy a new Mac with Applecare.

i have used this product for almost 2 years and it has been a great product that i have ever used.

The Apple AirPort Extreme is great for covering large areas. We place two of these devices in our huge warehouse, which provides maximum coverage. The Airport utility automatically discovers new and existing AirPorts and allows for easy management.

I never got very good speeds unless I was in the closet with the router provided by my service provider. I added two of these connected wired together and now get awesome speeds no matter where I am. Installation was extremely simple. Highly recommend.

Replaced our old Airport with this Airport Extreme..Easy to set up and much stronger signal.

Its an Apple Product, of course it works, just a little pricey, but you get what you pay for

work from home using multiple devices via wifi. things move at a lightning fast rate. 2 thumbs up!

This router was extremely easy to set up and has greatly increased my wifi network's efficiency.

This has a better range then most other routers. Doesn't need range extender like I had before.

We were having trouble getting an internet signal upstairs at our home. My son was getting extremely frustrated because his PS4 would lose the connection during a game. I was ready to start running some cables through the walls to get another router upstairs. Then I found the Airport and decided to try it. We have not had any trouble since.
