Super great value for a great price. Everything works really well and is a huge upgrade from my 7-year-old PC. Storage is lacking, but not a big deal if you connect an external hard drive to it. The build quality is also really great.

If you have already have the peripherals like a mouse, keyboard and a monitor, this is easily the only computer that most people will need for several years to come (5+ years or even longer). Since the introduction of Apple's M series silicone in 2020, it democratized the ability to own a super-computer in a tiny package, and the new M4 Mac mini is the culmination of that in a desktop class computer. Nothing can touch this in this 5x5x2 compact size for the performance and value.

I've been using the Mac mini with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, paired with an OWC Express 1TB as the main hard drive, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. Setting up the new hard drive right from the start is crucial to avoid any repeated steps, but once that's done, the experience is seamless. The Mac mini has been a powerhouse for my needs, from video editing dirt bike trail riding videos to everyday browsing. I use mine for work and often run multiple windows simultaneously, yet I haven't even come close to maxing out the 16GB of RAM. The CPU is the real star here—it's overkill for 99% of users and was the main reason I chose this model at its price point. You won't find anything that comes close to its performance right now. Overall, the Mac mini has exceeded my expectations and has been a reliable and efficient machine for all my tasks.

Stunning performance jumps over M1, M2 generation- faster CPU, faster GPU, and double the RAM in the base model. Unbeatable deal for the price. Apple has a winner, and this will be far more computer than most people need; I'd encourage those unsure to start here first.

Just amazing for such a small device. It sits silently, but it is a power horse that can tackle anything I throw at it.

These Mac Minis are extremely powerful for their size. I didn’t expect it to be so small. I have an older model twice the size and with less power.

I love my little Mac Mini. I bought it mainly for email that I don't know what it is. I had an email take out my PC and Apple can't get viruses. But it is totally fast! And so compact. I was able to boost it to 1tb with the addition of an external hard drive that is the same exact size and mounts to the bottom of it. It also gives me 2 aditional USB plug ins. If you want a fast, awesome, compact computer, you need a Mac Mini. Highly recommend it.

I upgraded from an Intel Mac Mini, and the M4 Mac mini is like night and day: many times faster, plus a tiny footprint compared to the old “silver” Intel model. Apple gave the machine a design overhaul from its M2 with the 2024 refresh. The M4 mini measures just 5 inches by 5 inches — more than 40% smaller than my prior-generation Intel model. It takes up much less space on my desk, and has impressive performance in that super compact package. With Apple Intelligence and the M4 chip, Apple stopped using 8GB as the base amount of memory that Macs ship with, and upped it to 16GB. The base M4 Mac mini has 16GB of RAM as a result, making it super fast and a great deal for a desktop machine. It runs the new IOS 26 with plenty of memory to spare for applications. You do have to supply your own display, keyboard, and mouse, but it's so small that I can easily move it between desktop setups at home and work. Because it doesn’t have any ordinary old style USB ports, I had to pick up a cheap USB-C to USB-A hub for 15 bucks, so I could attach my existing keyboard and mouse. There is an option to upgrade to the faster M4 Pro for those who need more power, but as a software engineer with fairly intense computing needs, the base model gives me everything I need. It has three Thunderbolt 4 ports, where the M4 Pro sports Thunderbolt 5 ports with faster transfer speeds, but that’s frankly only useful for intense video editing. The base M4 model does routine video editing without breathing hard. There are also two USB-C ports with 10Gb/s transfer speeds at the front. Compared to my prior-generation Intel Mac mini, the M4 models are 5 times faster in terms of CPU speed. If you're looking for a desktop Mac, the base Mac mini is the best deal that you're going to get. The performance is more than enough for day to day tasks and even gaming, photo editing, and routine video editing, and that price tag really can't be beat.

I recently picked one up, and it's been quite the game changer for me. I love its compact size. It's seriously like this little powerhouse that fits right into my workspace without taking up much room at all. I can easily tuck it into my desk setup, and it looks super sleek. Setting it up was a breeze, too. I'm not the most tech-savvy person, but the process was pretty straightforward. I plugged it into my monitor, connected the keyboard and mouse, and it was practically ready to go. Everything runs so smoothly. I've been editing photos and streaming videos without any issues, which is pretty amazing considering how small this thing is.

If you are looking for a small footprint, silent capable machine for daily general use I fail to see how one can go far wrong with this little gem

This is for the lowest-end version of the mini. I replaced an older M1 mini with this one. I was surprised by how small the new Mac mini is compared to the previous models. I already had a high-speed external 1TB Flash drive and a 2TB USB hard drive as a backup drive, so a larger internal Flash drive was not needed. The switch from 8GB to 16GB RAM was welcome. The switch to all USB-C interfaces was also welcome, but it meant I had to use a couple of USB-A to USB-C adaptor plugs for my existing devices. The upgrade process was painless and only took a few minutes. The significant speed bump from the M1 to M4 was immediately noticeable. I have owned Mac computers since 1985. They have been the most reliable electronic devices I have ever owned.

The Mac Mini 4 is a powerhouse in a sleek, compact design. It delivers lightning-fast performance for everything from multitasking to creative projects, stays whisper-quiet! 16gb ram as standard is amazing!!! Does everything you need it to do!

Can handle quite a bit. It’s not perfect yet it performs better than my older 2020 MacBook Pro which I spent 3k on. Shop around use price match micro center. This mac mini is shockingly fast on day to day task and can handle multi core loads with moderation. Invest in a Thunderbolt external hard drive! It will be worth it. Using with a Samsung 55” OLED DISPLAY @ 4K 120hz runs smooth.

I have been a long time PC owner but have always wanted to try a Mac and MacOS. I saw this Mac Mini M4 for sale at Best Buy and decided to try it out. This Mac runs great! Very fast and MacOS is a treat. I did install UTM and Windows 11 Pro to support some of my older apps, but Im going Mac all the way. Great price and great product

Admittedly I am NOT an Apple ‘fan-boy’, or ‘fan-person’ as you will, nor am I into the whole ‘Apple ecosystem’, BUT this is probably the best value in desktop computers right now, especially if you can find it on sale. I’ve paired mine up with 2 existing 4K monitors and an external dock with 4TB of M.2 SSD additional storage, as 256GB internal was not enough for my use, BUT was a MUCH more economical way to expand the storage. The unit itself is of the typically excellent Apple quality, and now paired with the great M4 processor and 16gb of RAM and perfectly capable integrated graphics. For 90-95% of people, this is probably all the desktop you may need, as long as you are not looking for a high-end ‘gaming system’. This will perfectly accomplish everyday computer needs and includes Apple’s very competent office software, and will run most people’s basic video and/or music editing software needs. In my profession I need to use all the major computer platforms (PC, Apple, Android, and Linux), and this is by far the best valued system I have ever purchased, and that’s saying a lot coming from Apple. If you are not used to the MacOS system, don’t be worried as Apple baby-walks you through the system, and of course it all works seamlessly (for the most part) with all their other Apple products. The only ding I give it is that the power button couldn’t have been in a more inconvenient place if you would have to call Apple support to turn it on for you. If you are looking for an affordable desktop computer that doesn’t need to play the next 10 generations of games at 8K, this is an excellent option, if not the best. Best Buy was helpful as always and met a tropical forest competitor’s sales price. Very happy with the purchase, and with BB.

Small, quiet, and breezes through every task. Apple is greedy on storage, but easily addressed with inexpensive, 3rd party, solutions.

the Apple Mac Mini M4 is pretty solid it got sleek design and powerful performance. great it fast and efficient plus. the high resolution support and multiple ports are also pretty cool.

Everthing about mac mini m4 is perfect. Its size, its effciency, its power. it runs all my works without slowing down. Defintively 5 stars.
