Great for the value, i bought this for development IOS apps, its the cheapest option in mac for make powerful things, and deserve it, its small, quiet and great, it runs my projects and apps easily and for a great price, the best if u need a cheap powerful station for create something.

Surprisingly very good as a standalone desktop. Works with any monitor I have and doesn’t stutter or lag at all. Granted I only use it for productivity for classes and work (mostly browser) but it reaches the hz rate I want to run it at. I have an expensive monitor so why should I shell out more money for an Apple one? 10/10 price to performance and saving like a thousand from not having to buy the monitor as wel

I giant improvement over my M1, but that is not very difficult to accomplish. The size is impressively small, but the power button is in a really dumb location, on the bottom., even though the is plenty of room on the back of the units. Apple says to just leave it on all the time, Yeah, NO. It still has the same problem that M1s do, if you connect a second monitor using an alt-mode USB-C and the computer goes to sleep you need to reboot the computer to get the second monitor to work again. (The solution is to use a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable) One of my monitors is an ultrawide monitor it gets annoying having to constantly run up to the top left to use the menu bar. Not a comment on this machine but on how Apple just does not care about the user experience. If I could develop iOS apps on Linux or Windows, I would. I am looking forward to the day I never have to use MacOS again

This little thing is powerful. It's quiet too! You can't beat the value that it offers at this price point, it processes through the day to day tasks and chews through book keeping, light video editing and heavy photo editing and then some. have yet to max it out for general tasks and also it's SO much snappier and quick when doing tasks than anything m1 and below.

Others have said it, and I will echo most other reviewers. As a Mac (Apple) user since 1982, this is one of my favorite Macs of all. It is one of the best values, even at the base model. Some complain the 255GB isn’t enough but iCloud storage solves that issue, or an inexpensive external SSD. With the 16GB of RAM standard, combined with all specs, it is indeed one of the best Macs for most non-power user. And, with the M4 (and Pro version), the Mini encroaches into professional territory also. Love everything about it. Specs, size, and price.

Great little unit. When i saw the sale price at $480, I finally bit. Its been years I have been having old hand me downs repaired only to be disappointed that not even garage band would work. Brought this thing home, I have managed to make a couple songs, edit some videos and some photos for christmas presents. Ties in with my ipad perfectly! I also love the base option for expandable storage (aftermarket).

This computer is a steal. If your primary use of it does not involve graphics, the Mac Mini M4 is head and shoulders above any competing PC, including not having to deal with all of the thousands of annoyances involving Microsoft. My data transferred from my old machine in less than 5 minutes. It was plug and play, with no curveballs or difficulties. Since I don't deal with graphics or video, I don't need any of Apple's superb graphics cards, screens, or monitors, which saves a bundle. I must admit that I do miss the pleasure of those beautiful screens, but for the office. I appreciate the savings. Best Buy even offered it at a discount from its standard retail price. Thank you, Best Buy.

This is quite possibly one of the best tech purchases of the decade. If you already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse the pricing on this is unbelievable to a younger me. OSX is amazing on the M platform, and 16GB of RAM base is sufficient for most home users. While the 256GB seems low, with all of the cloud storage providers I don't see filling up the storage quickly here.

Very small footprint, Super fast and responsive for all of my needs. Plenty of ports to use I can have open many many tabs and still runs at great speed.

Much like my phone the design language is easy to understand and easy to make the switch to Mac. Great performance.

The Mac mini M4 is an extremely fast computer. I've had no slowdowns doing any of the work I use it for. I'm thoroughly impressed!

You’d be hard pressed to beat the value per performance of this machine across any brand’s product line - especially when it’s on sale at Best Buy. My only gripe would be the inability to install Linux on bare metal - and that’s when I turn to the other mini pc companies.

A great personal computer for anyone that needs a compact computer and is easily accessible and has enough power for anything

Great computer especially for the price. The only two negatives I have found is if you want to play steam games on it many will not play because the M4 is not compatible with the older games that are Mac compatible. Secondly it has limited storage capacity but that is easily upgraded.
