I'm horrible with names but I received help from a female manager. She was extremrly upbeat, knowledgeable, efficient even amongst the mist of the total chaos that comes with Black Friday deals! We left with a Mac mini, keyboard, monitor, and a 75 inch TV. Thank you for making it a great experience.

My new Mac mini is super fast and does everything I need it to do. Have to get use to the power button being on the button. Would advise everyone to get a USB to type C adapter because there are no USB ports and there are 2 Type C ports in the front of the computer. Other than that the computer is great. P.S. The speaker port is in the front also

Fast. Small. Powerful. I have a 2018 mini that is awesome. Needed more storage so gave that to my son and picked up a new mini. Love the new one. Drives all my connections and monitors well. Great Zoom, FaceTime and Teams connections.

DO NOT BUY the new M4 16GB Memory - 256GB SSD unless you only intend to watch videos and check emails. This DOES NOT have memory to do any photo or video editing. Only work around is move non-Apple apps to SSD and launch from there. Spend the extra and get the 32GB.

So the first review I gave was good, but you chose not to publish it so you sent me a second review. Therefore, I’ll say that I needed more memory and the sales people didn’t have it in them to try and upsell me. So now I have to buy a memory card.

The Mac Mini is an outstanding little powerhouse. Despite its compact size, it delivers incredible performance—fast, smooth, and reliable for everything from everyday tasks to more intensive work. Apps open instantly, multitasking feels effortless, and the overall speed is a noticeable upgrade. The design is sleek, minimal, and fits perfectly on any desk without taking up space. It stays quiet, runs cool, and pairs easily with any monitor and accessories. For the price, the value is amazing—you get desktop-level power at a fraction of the cost of other systems. Whether you’re working, creating, or just streaming and browsing, the Mac Mini handles it all flawlessly. If you want a powerful, efficient, and affordable Mac, the Mac Mini is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!

    Mac Mini small and powerful

Performance the moment you unbox it, the new design hits different — it’s comically small (basically the size of four stacked Apple TVs), yet it feels premium with the polished silver finish and that satisfying magnetic power cable. Apple finally brought the front I/O (two USB-C ports + headphone jack) where it always should have been. No more crawling under the desk.Performance is ridiculous. The base M4 chip with 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU absolutely flies. Video editing in Final Cut Pro (4K multi-cam timelines with color grading), Logic Pro with dozens of tracks and plugins, Xcode builds, even running multiple virtual machines — everything feels instant. It’s faster than my previous 16-inch M2 Pro MacBook Pro in many tasks, and it does it while staying dead silent and barely warm. Fan noise? What fan noise?Apple Intelligence features work flawlessly on this thing — Writing Tools, smart summaries in Mail/Notes, Image Playground, and the new Siri are genuinely useful and snappy. The 16GB unified memory is the sweet spot; I never hit swap even with Chrome + 50 tabs + Photoshop + Docker running. The only minor nitpick is 256GB feels tight if you work with large media files, but that’s what fast Thunderbolt 5 external SSDs are for (up to 120 Gb/s — insane). For everyone else, it’s perfect. At this price, nothing else even comes close. Not a mini-PC with an Intel N100, not some overpriced Windows small-form-factor box, nothing. If you want a blisteringly fast, silent, gorgeous little Mac that just works and will stay relevant for the next 7–8 years, buy this immediately. I smile every time I look at it on my desk.10/10. Apple cooked with this one.

**Mac Mini (Base Model) Review** I recently purchased the base model Mac Mini, and I’m genuinely thrilled with its performance and value. Powered by the M4 chip with an 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, it handles my daily tasks—web browsing, video streaming, light photo editing, and even some coding—with impressive speed and efficiency. The 8GB of unified memory and 256GB SSD are sufficient for my needs, though heavy multitaskers might want to consider upgrading. The compact, sleek aluminum design fits perfectly on my desk, and its near-silent operation is a huge plus. Setup was a breeze, and macOS Ventura runs smoothly, offering a seamless experience with my other Apple devices. The port selection (two Thunderbolt 4, two USB-A, HDMI, Ethernet, and headphone jack) is versatile for a machine this size, though I occasionally wish for an extra USB-C port. For the price, it’s hard to beat the performance and build quality, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, space-saving desktop. I’m delighted with my Mac Mini—it’s a powerful little workhorse that exceeds expectations for a base model. Highly recommended for budget-conscious users who don’t need the extra bells and whistles!

First I got this on sale at Best Buy with my Best Buy Plus membership for $499 - sweet! I'm not a power user, just your average guy. I don't do video editing, music production, or gaming to any serious degree but pretty much everything else. This little thing rocks. I'm coming from years of PC experience both from light IT work to heavy office usage. I don't much care about being bullied by Microsoft into Windows 11 and figured if I had to learn a new GUI may as well go all in on Mac. I have used Mac for some music editing and production but not as my primary computer. Has there been a learning curve, oh yeah, but it's been relatively painless and I have found customizations to make it a bit more Windows like, but hey I chose to go away from Windows so I haven't changed anything, just learned Mac. As far as the machine itself is concerned my wife was gobsmacked to learn that this little box was all my gargantuan desktop was and more. It's compact, quiet, boots quickly what more can I say. The only downside if there is one is the lack of USB A ports, even some USB 3.0 devices use the USB A form, but an adapter takes care of it. Just means your desktop is a bit more cluttered, particularly if you hook up a USB A hub for your other peripherals. I am a tinkerer and loved to replace and upgrade my PCs, not so this little guy, there is nothing user accessible, but hey I'm ok with that as it's spec'd for what I need. If I need more than this on a budget then it's definitely going to have to be filled with a PC as Mac gets stupid expensive for RAM and storage upgrades. Having said that am I nervous about storage, 256 gb - not really as external storage is cheap and with Thunderbolt danged near as fast as internal storage at least for most uses. I have loaded all I need to load to include some music editing software, etc., and I haven't used half of the storage and don't see ever running out. I use an external drive for backups and file storage. Us old computer users who grew up with miniscule hard drives are used to keeping things decluttered and neat. I have also learned through hard knocks that it's always best to keep things backed up on an external drive, Do I recommend it, you bet. If something happened to it I would certainly replace it with another just like it.

Its compact size makes it perfect for tight spaces, while the affordable price tag delivers exceptional value compared to other Apple desktops. Overall, the 2024 Mac Mini is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking performance, efficiency, and flexibility in a small package.

    My Upgrade Journey

As someone who relies heavily on my desktop for a mix of creative work, coding, and everyday tasks, my Mac Mini is the heart of my setup. I've been a big fan of the M-series chips, having previously used the M2 Mac Mini, which was already a fantastic machine. But the recent jump to the M4 Mac Mini has genuinely surprised me with how much more it brings to the table. Let's start with the most immediate, tangible difference: performance. My M2 Mini was no slouch, but the M4 is just on another level. I work with large image files in Photoshop and often dabble in 3D rendering for personal projects, and the speed improvements are undeniable. Filters apply in a blink, complex scenes render noticeably faster, and compiling code feels almost instantaneous. It's not just about raw benchmarks; it's about the fluidity of the experience, the complete lack of bottlenecks in my workflow. My M2 was fast, but the M4 feels effortless. Beyond the sheer horsepower, the new design is a real win. The M4 Mac Mini is surprisingly smaller and more compact than the M2, which is impressive given the power it packs. It's subtle, but it makes a difference on my desk, freeing up a bit more space. Plus, having the front-facing USB-C ports is a game-changer for convenience. No more reaching around the back for quick connections – a small detail that makes a big impact on daily usability. And then there's Apple Intelligence. While the M2 had a Neural Engine, the M4's enhanced capabilities are truly making a difference in the latest macOS features. Things like the more intelligent Siri, advanced photo editing suggestions, and smarter contextual searches are not just gimmicks; they're genuinely useful and feel incredibly responsive. It's clear this machine is built to handle the future of AI-driven applications. Connectivity has also seen a solid bump. Depending on the model, you're getting either more robust Thunderbolt 4 or even Thunderbolt 5 ports, which means even faster external storage and display options if I ever need to expand. For anyone currently on an M1 or even an M2 Mac Mini, I can confidently say the M4 is a seriously compelling upgrade. If your work involves anything moderately demanding, or if you just appreciate a truly future-proof and incredibly responsive desktop experience, the M4 Mac Mini is an absolute powerhouse in a tiny, refined package. It's not just a faster Mac Mini; it's a smarter, more efficient, and even more enjoyable machine to use every single day.

I use this Mac Mini for video editing and music production. I was skeptical about the size, but the performance is top-tier. Even under heavy loads in Final Cut Pro, it stays cool and quiet. Pros: The port selection is solid for my peripherals, and the rendering speeds are comparable to much more expensive towers. Cons: I do wish the base storage was a bit larger, but an external SSD solved that easily. Bottom Line: Highly recommended for any creative professional looking for a powerful workstation that doesn't take up the whole desk.

This Mac Mini M4 is small indeed, but it is very powerful. This computer is quiet and it is very smooth in operation. I added a 2 TB external SSD to this machine and it is very responsive. Everything opens instantly and works very well. The ports on this machine are fast as well. Over time I plan to add a faster External drive and a new monitor. For now things are great. This is the best budget PC for the money right now and if you need a new computer this is the one you should get.

The Mac mini M4 base model is a beast in a small box. It’s incredibly fast—apps open instantly, multitasking feels effortless, and it stays completely silent even under load. The M4 chip handles everything from office work to light photo and video editing with ease. Setup is plug-and-play simple, and the compact size makes it ideal for any desk setup. Unless you need massive storage or heavy-duty graphics, the base model is more than enough for most users. A sleek, powerful machine at a great value.
