Perfect solution for small condo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using small TV kitchen as the monitor. Didn’t have space for designated office space, this was the perfect solution.

OK for basic computing
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Mac Mini doesn't get many updates, so you should buy this for basic computing if you like the Mac ecosystem. Even including the Apple tax, this isn't a super great computer for the value, but again, the Mac Mini doesn't get that many updates so you get what you can if you prefer Apple devices.

Apple Does it AGAIN!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Late 2018 revision of the classic MacMini introduces more speed, less customizable parts but still one of the best Mac's on the market. This is basic quad core Kaby Lake i3 processor coupled with an onboard HD 630 GPU using 1.5gb's of DDR4 ram for video processing; but for most people this computer will provide all of the speed, storage, and software needs. For gamers, low to medium graphics and depending on the work load requirements most games will play with 45+ FPS at these settings. Surprisingly GTA V plays smoothy on Medium. One of the best inclusions with OS X Catalina is the sidecar feature allowing this Mac to be used on later gen. iPads - an excellent extension, though the unit has to be on for the mirroring of the desktop but everything still works great. The memory can be expanded, though the required tools and ability to safely remove the logic board requires a bit of patients and above average skill set. The formerly expansive hard drive slot in previous generations has been removed, limiting a user to the iCloud expansion storage or using a Thunderbolt connectable drive. The data transfer speeds on the onboard HDD are outstanding & large files take no time to fully transfer. Perhaps none of the things I said above are applicable to your needs, then this is still an excellent work station/ desktop computer that will handle more than enough data processing/ web searching/ emails or even homework for an average users. Productivity software is included with all Mac's which allows users to read, write, and save documents, data charts, and presentations in popular file formats including PDF, DOCX, PPT, and XLXS to name a few allowing people to save money and have great dependable software. Security is next level. Apple includes their T2 security chip - hardware that encrypts the onboard hard drive, passwords, credit cards, and other user sensitive data - ensuring top level protection, though not unhackable, a user can chose from a number of great anti-virus/ malware/ ransomware programs on the market. The device runs hot, not entirely sure why you'd put your hand on the unit, but some people may find this a turn off... not entirely sure it matters; but, should be noted. Another downside is the lack of input devices included with the unit. The Mini does NOT include a mouse or keyboard and will still require a monitor/ tv. Buying the Apple branded keyboard will set you back 100-150 dollars and the mouse easily retails for over 65. Some users may find the Magic Mouse too slim and may opt for the Apple TrackPad 2 still over 125 for this peripheral. Some users may want to explore a MacBook Air or even the iMac as the end pricing will be roughly the same.

Great computer but at a premium price
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this computer because it was the only one in stock and I was in a time pinch. The price is not justified at all for an i3. It does the job but the new Mac mini is way too costly.

Apple fan in general
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While I am an Apple fan (devotee), this product has some issues. I have purchased 3 of the same Mac mini and all three have a connection bug with the hdmi. The screen will go to snow randomly. Apple doesn’t seem to have a solution.

Ok entry level Mac
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very limited storage, 97gb available after first boot. If your planning to game on it with “World of Warcraft” for example which takes up 70gb hd space, get an external hd or upgrade to 256gb which can be very pricey. Experienced lag and hangups upon first setup, had to restart several times. For an SSD drive this shouldn’t be happening. My Intel 7th Gen 13” MacBook Pro breezes through the setup much faster than this 8th Gen base Model. The lack of a dedicated GPU is what downgrades this computer to the very bottom, which is overpriced for its specs. This computer is worth more like $500 for its specs! It’s suitable for web browsing, iTunes, photo and video editing but if gaming is your main thing, go with a PC based gaming desktop.
