    I previously had a Garmin VivoSmart HR. I found the transition to Apple Watch difficult - battery life was short, many functions rely on 3rd party software (and are not "baked in") like on the Garmin, and can be glitchy and difficult to set up. I had a lot of trouble getting GPS and HR data to record during a run (yes I brought my phone), and getting golf yardages to show on the watch in a timely manner was glitchy as well. Hopefully future WatchOS versions will improve functionality.

    The updated series 2 is a great smart watch. It did everything I expected although I feel they could've added a better water resistant coating as in the series 3.
