I dumped my combo cable modem / router and bought this modem. One simple reason....speed. It can handle all the new speed packages by my ISP and should be good for the next 5 years.

Simple setup -- totally brainless. Pairs perfectly with my TP-LINK AX11000 router. If you are looking for a state-of-the-art modem (at least it was in December 2020), this is it.

I had a Netgear CM1000 that died, had to be RMA'd, then the replacement would stop working and require a reboot at least once a week... Finally jumped to the Arris S33 and it's been absolutely flawless for the past 6 months.

Running great so far. Was easy to set up and takes up little space.

Great speeds - I get full speed on mine. I have 900 down and get slightly more when speed testing. Has 2.5 gbps port which is nice for the future.

I selected the ARRIS SURFboard S33 because it was one of the few modems on the market that is compatible with my Xfinity system. I learned of the SURFboard modem from my son-in-law, who found it was the only modem that gave reliable and fast WiFi speeds in his home. The modem is rated as fast as 2.5 Ghz/s. Installing the SURFboard along with an Eero MESH system raised my internet speeds from 50 MB/second with an xfinity gateway (modem/router) to 950 MB/second.

Very stable and fast router. Bought this for use on a 1 gigabit internet plan. Hopefully this will future proof me for when we upgrade to 2 or 2.5 gigabit speeds. No issues gaming or streaming video.

So far so good. Bought this modem to replace a previous SurfBoard product that although was still working, was aging and may have gotten fried in a recent internet outage. Took a bit to get setup with the cable provider - took some time to get itself updated, but once it got there, have had good access to the internet in the house and everything is working seamlessly. Was cheaper to buy outright then to rent from the internet provider. Pleased!

Bought this to upgrade to my new spectrum 1 gig connection docsis 3.1. Glad this has a broadcom chip instead of the intel puma. Its been absolutely solid.
