My old Netgear CM1000 v1 was no longer supported by Comcast. It was still working but decided to upgrade. Went with the S33 and very happy. Noticed a slight increase in download speed for the Blast tier.

Pricey for what it is, but this is replacing my awful spectrum EN2251 that has plagued me with problems that spectrum denies is the modems doing. Sure enough, once I replaced their modem with this one all issues went away (intermittent disconnects, failure to negotiate with router at full gigabit, fluctuating download speeds).

Pretty good for my 1GBPS broadband service. So far this is outperforming my expectations

First of all, I have been in the tech support service, installation and support business for 40 years. I would not suggest this modem to anyone. Save your money and headaches and buy from a different vendor. This modem runs very hot. If this was the only problem, I could live with it. I have Cox multi-gig service and bought the Arris s33 to provide internet to my multi-gig router. At first, I got 2300 bps to one computer that has a 2.5gbe adaptor and 1000 + on another computer with a 1 gbs. Soon after, my speed droped from 2.5 gbs to under 1000, and 1000 + to just under 400bps respectfully. Called Arris tech support and troubleshooted for an hour before they said the upstream frequency from Cox was too high. They would not exchange the Modem until Cox bring the upstream frequency within Arris specs. I had Cox come out and adjust the frequency to within Arris specs. I still had the same slow speeds! Arris tech support said they had to put a hold on a credit card for the mfg suggested cost of the modem and pay shipping to receive a replacement!!! They would only remove the hold when they receive my failed modem back. I am still waiting for the modem. This is not worth the trouble. If I, as a tech experienced testing and troubleshooting problems with this modem, I hate to think what the average user would go thru. If this modem was still in the return stage with Best Buy, I would definitely have returned it and bought from a different vendor.

Works great, seems faster than my netgear was although my Netgear seemed to be failing so hard to say.

We switched the Suddenlink modem for this one and have never looked back! We love this modem! We have had no where near as many problems with our internet since the switch.

Why would anyone rent a cable modem when they could buy one for a fraction of the cost. This was delivered in two hours, great value and super easy to hook up. Best part is that no one can throttle me down with my service!

Very good modem that has many features when you have a custom router and servers along with a security camera system. can make your own settings the way you want not like cable modems you get from your provider. way better speeds etc.

My SB JUST GAVE OUT lasted 5 years using COMCAST GB It was a snap and this item is future proof as speeds change very small footprint little more than I wanted to pay but everything is up in price so it is what it is

Really easy to set up, just a quick entry of the MAC address in my Xfinity app and the modem was set up for use inside an hour from opening the box through a few reboots and then done.

The product was just as labeled and there were no problems setting it up.

After I got with my Internet Service Provider (ISP), this modem was easy to install. It is also a light weight modem.

Easy set up. Great for future proofing house and avoiding rental fees from internet provider.

Great modem - has worked flawlessly now for a couple months. Was having troubles each Saturday with my internet shutting off, but that turned out to be the router. Fixed the auto-reboot on the router and everything has been running great.

The Arris Surfboard S33 32 X 8 DOCSIS 3.1 replaced my rented Arris Surfboard SB8200. Installation was easy and has a bit more capability. Would definitely recommend this modem!
