I purchased this to replace a decade old docsis 3.0 surfboard modem that was still hanging on but it was time to upgrade. Activation took some time and trouble due to xfinity but once that was sorted out it is solid. I bought this specific model because it will support xfinity upload speeds that are rolling out. The modem includes an energy efficiency setting and can be set to have the led lights off. Good options.

Solid cable modem, capable of passing along higher than gigabit speeds to the rest of your network - just make sure the rest of your network can handle the higher speed as well. Highly recommended.

Worked out of the box and required no setup other than the xfinity side mac address change. Xfinity prompted me to buy a new modem for faster speeds and this modem improved down by ~100 and up by ~25.

Performs exactly as I’d hope. I wanted something I had a little more control over than cable company provided equipment and this fits the bill.

Upgraded to this modem after upgrading my service plan and this was listed as compatible with provider and new plan. Not yet achieving the expected down data rate but the up data rate exceeds the expected speed. The lower than expected down data rate is unlikely due to the modem.

Great step up from the S33. Same download speed as prior model, but 10 fold increase in upload speeds! Consistently getting 150-200 Mbps upload speeds now, and sometimes up to 300 Mbps.

Increased speed in my home significantly. Didnt need a modem/router bc I use a net system to reach everywhere in my house.

Worked as advertised but got very hot to the touch. I contacted Arris tech support and they advised me to return it. I ended up exchanging this for a Netgear CM3000 and the Netgear runs much cooler.

The product operates great, and was an easy installation. The product was Cox compatible.

I recommend it, it's easy to install and configure, it works perfectly.

After investigating which modem is best for my xfinity internet, which this was recommended not just by reviews but the person bestbuy also recommended it too. As soon as I connected to the WIFI mesh, ther is a difference if perform and speed with my old modem mix router and the new modem

Definitely a great modem, but the web interface needs to be more secure as both the router and browser complain that it isn't secure. The Energy Efficient Ethernet is a great feature, but it would help to be able to turn it on and off easier. The worst thing about is the app they recommend you use to setup and register it. It's much easier to skip the app and use the web interface to register and set it up.

Finally, the speed I've been yearning for 2 gig downloads/uploaded for the money i have been spending for years ... 2300dn/ 375 up, thank you, Arris

Quick and easy install with xfinity service. I was able to connect it with the app.

Great modem. Using it with xfinity 1GB plan. Paired it with an TP-LINK archer tri ban router

Product was easy to set up on my side but needed to call cable provider to get modem to recognize.

Worked with with the network equipment I have. Purchased this as a back up as our previous one broke. Now it is our permanent one.

I bought the S34 modem believing my router (capable of 350Mbps) would still allow me to reach into the 150 Mbps range. My outdated old modem only gave me 28 Mbps and the S34 bumped it up to 38 Mbps. I'm either missing something or Xfinity has me throttled. I'll update this review if I figure out a speed increase.
