Great cable modem

I purchased this modem with the intention of ruling out a malfunction in the old modem, but that wasn't the issue. However, we did discover that the signal issues on our line were tolerated a lot better by this modem than by the previous modem, a Motorola SB6141. Our issue turned out to be signal loss on the internal wiring in our apartment. Once Comcast fixed that, everything has been fantastic.

Highly recommend doing this, most internet providers reuse old modems and say they're new, which is why I had to get a new one after a couple months.

Got rid of my 15 year old lease!

I paid for this cheap basic leased modem multiple times over and should have done this earlier. One call to tech support to give the new MAC address and it was working. Great quality for the price of a basic no frills device, I highly recommend it. No increased speed btw.
