I have Apple router, this modem will not work with this router I have to return it

Wrong item given to me this happens a lot. Did not need this

I had to replace my old router, it was not fast enough to keep up with Vonage.

according to Time Warner this modem did not work. Not certain of the truth

Traded it in for a lynks, not great with Comcast. Not what I needed.

Not compatible with my ISP so I needed to return it.

As I decided to upgrade my internet package with Comcast to 50mbps, I wanted to get a good modem and router so that I can hit the MAX speeds. I went to the Best Buy store in my neighborhood to pick up a Motorola Arris Surfboard SB6183 (modem) and a Netgear Nighthawk (router). And I can say with all honesty that these are the best equipment in my experience if your wanting to get what your paying for. After I purchased the modem and router from Best Buy and set it up with my internet I decided to execute a speed test to see the results of my internet's performance. When I completed the speed test it resulted in 59.06mbps down and 6.8mbps up. And remember i'm only paying for 50mbps, so I'm pretty much getting an additional10mbps with my selected modem and router. And this is one of the reasons why I recommend this equipment. If you decide to get new equipment definitely think about the Motorola Surfboard SB6183 and the Netgear Nighthawk.

This modem was so easy to setup. Logged in to my TW account and chatted with the rep. Just gave them the mac address for the new modem and I was up and running in just a few minutes. With the Time Warner internet speed upgrade it allows me to get 118 mbps download speeds! With upload speeds of 12 mbps consistently. Lights on this thing are very bright blue and will light up a small area at night. This could be annoying if it is placed in a bed room. Best modem I have ever owned and I do not have to rent a modem anymore!

Modem supports 75+ MBS service and two AC speed duplex WIFI routers with multiple simultaneous users including streaming (Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire), internet browsing, game playing and WIFI connected devices (thermostats, irrigation etc.). Very simple to install. Plug in and call Internet Service Provider( ISP) to activate .I bought it to replace an SB1621 modem that had a more limited multi user support and Internet service speed capability. Price is competitive.

Have had this modem for almost 7 years and never had a bit of trouble out of it. Only replacing it now because Xfinity had a deal to increase our speed from 100 to 900 Mbps and needed a DOCSIS 3.1 modem to take advantage of the faster speed. Hopefully, the Arris SB8200 I bought to replace it will perform as well.

By far the best modem, I run everything. Get higher speeds than promised from my cable provider which is very unusual. It's built in filter works wonders for consistent speed, response time, and reliability. I run my rack mounted servers, VPN, & hosts from it with 100% uptime. The only downside is it does not have any mounting capability... So just set it somewhere and you're good to go!

This is my third Motorola Surfboard modem (one upgrade, two locations) and I have never had a problem. The newest (SB6183) is easy to set up (though you may need to call your cable company to enable...probably true for any brand) and provides a significant upgrade in speed from my earlier SB model. Never had a failure or issue with the modems from Motorola.

Small (5"x5"x2"), easy to set up, would fit anywhere. Does not have input for phone, but I have a cell phone, so don't miss it. It's working great.

Peeling off the protective plastic stickers is literally the hardest part of installing this modem. Moto even thought enough to put a label on the instructions with the MAC ID, so when you call your cable company you don't have to flip the modem over. Worked the first time... reliably speed tested at 55MBs down and 10MBps up, both the max for my account. I really like not paying the cable company $10 a month extra for their unreliable modem.

Been using an older modem with blast service level on Comcast - bought the modem off eBay used and Comcast claimed it was theirs. Decided to buy a NEW modem rather than pay Comcast $12 a month. Researched the highly recommended ones and decided this was the one. See speedtest screenshot below - we have 4 iPhones, 1 iPad, fire stick and 2 smart tvs Awesome buy with price match with Amazon.

Works just as it should, and with great speeds. However, the lights in this unit are insanely bright. With the white housing, this thing lights up like a Christmas tree and lights up the entire room. I find that to be quite annoying. Great for what it does... needs to be more subdued in form, IMO.

Just as many other reviewers stated, my WIFI download speeds from Comcast have significantly improved. Now getting almost 240 Mbps. My contract is for up to 50 Mbps for downloads! Uploads are about the same around 10-12 Mbps. Highly recommend this cable modem: faster speeds, saves you $ vs. renting from Comcast.

Two years running and No problems. It was the Fastest TWC would accept at the time, now Spectrum will accept the SB6190. Stop paying Fees, own your own Modem. This modem can handle everything you throw at it. 10 items running with phones on, Netflix,Hulu,Amazon,Roku and never sputters.

got this to replace a older modem that charter/spectrum had loaned to me. working good, setup was easy and getting the speeds i am suppose to. i have been using surfboard modems since the early 2000s and this modem is just as good as the rest I have used.

So I had a SB6121 modem which was DOCSYS 3.0 like I needed said my cable provider. Worked fine, until my buddy came over and said I was only getting 4 download streams (which I was like ughh what?) Means I was paying for a high end internet service and getting high speed net but not to the fullest I should be getting. Sooo..I went out and bought this SB6183 which can do 16 download streams (helps) and OMG....BIG difference! My speeds are at the spot they should be for what I am paying! This will make a difference! You will need to contact you ISP (service company) to make sure they add your new modem to your account. Its simple and easy. Worth every penny to upgrade!
