Great modem, still use it today and never had an issue

I replaced a Motorola docsis 2.0 modem. Gaming was impossible if someone else was watching streaming video, even youtube. This modem has made my Internet more reliable and lightning fast. I thought my router was going bad because I had to regularly reset it, but I have not had to reset it since replacing my modem.

I purchased this so I no longer have to rent form Comcast aka Xfinity. This modem is on their approved modem list. When I called to get this activated, they had no issues. Modem also works great with my Linksys Wireless router and have not had any issues getting my 250 Mbps speeds.

I had an SB6121. Comcast said it didn't support 150Mbps, which I'm not sure I believe, but I bought this one anyway. It seems to be working very well, just as the 6121 did. I've never had an issue with these Motorola modems. Buy one of these so Comcast doesn't make you pay to rent one.

Just recently upgraded to the 600 series from the regular SURFboard DOCSIS, since it recently gave out after 5 years, and with happy results. The speed has increased noticeably and there are less moments of lag in the house when multiple people and devices are running off it.

If you use comcast do yourself a favor and get this modem. There are 2 big reasons why you should. 1. You get faster speeds when you compare to the modem you RENT from comcast. 2. You don't have to keep paying comcast for the rental fee for a slower modem.

My husband and I purchased this modem from Best Buy and it is a great product. We are very happy with the performance. We have not had any issues. It was a great price as well. We couldn't be happier. We recommend this product to anyone in need of a new modem.

I purchased this modem to replace my SB6121 since Comcast technically does not support the sb6121 anymore. I have had absolutely no issues with this modem at all. I am coupling it with a Linksys EA6350 router and the two work together flawlessly.

Once Cox upgraded my service from 25 Mbs to 50 Mbs my old DOCSIS 2.0 modem no longer could handle the bandwidth. After reading numerous reviews I decided to future-proof my Internet service by going with the 6183. Setup was a breeze, I did it with Cox on the phone just to ensure that everything was good on their end. Setting up the modem took all of about 2 minutes (including removing the old modem). Another 15 minutes with Cox to ensure they had things right on their end and I was up and running at 65 Mbs. Almost a 40 Mbs improvement! This modem does have a bit of a blue glow when fully connected, but it is not that bad. I suppose if it was near my bed I might have an issue.

I love this new Modem, I upgraded from the SB6141 and I have far less issues with this new one. I am getting the full 160 MBPS download through Comcast. I know I will have this model for years to come as the upload and download speeds increase.

Easy setup and allows fast (300+) M bytes per second downloads.

I bought this when I decided to not pay any more $$ to TWC for the modem that I was renting from them. We never had an issue with this device and are planning to use this device as long as it would last for us.

reliable fast smooth functioning has not failed so far

The cost for "renting" my modem from Time Warner kept going up each year. After buying this modem there is no more monthly charge. The setup is rather simple but must be coordinated with your internet provider.

I was using the standard COX provided Modem/Router Combo prior to install this modem. Since replacing my speeds have more the doubled and I am able to run a household with 4 Tech heavy teenagers without issue.

Purchasing my own modem was something I should have done a long time ago! This one is great. I paired it with the AMPLIFI system and my internet access and speed are so much better

Purchased for internet use. Simplistic setup and fast

As of early 2015, about as future proof as you can get for cable modems. Called Comcast and had it up and running within 15 minutes. Has worked flawlessly for the last 2 weeks without any downtime.

This is probably the Best modem on the market. It gets the most speed out of your service as long as you have high bandwidth. A must for anyone who wants to maximize their internet speed.
