We actually spoke to a Best Buy employee in addition to reading reviews before purchasing. We are very pleased with the results. We had a modem/wireless router that was from our cable provider and it was slow and would lose signal at times. Not exactly great when your son is in the middle of a game and playing online with a group of other people. Ever since we switched to this modem and got the Google Home wifi system we haven't had any issues like that anymore. Highly recommend this modem.

Upgraded from a previous Arris surfboard modem and saw an increase in speed with this one.

It is easy to connect and use. Beats paying Comcast for theirs.
