    I prefer to not have to pay a rental fee to ISP for equipment and this is brand is one of the most popular. Always performs as advertised but should be replaced every few years.

    My old one was dying after several years and it too was the Arris surfboard. Very reliable. Hardest part of installation was dealing with Xfinity/Comcast.

    My comcast posted speed was 200 mbps, but I could never reach that speed. After buying my speeds are constantly at 240 mbps!
