We were Having problems with internet, TV, and, everything! Talked to my son, he told me to purchase this even though our provider furnished equipment for us! Our internet is over twice as fast, seems like everything works a lot better with this new equipment!!

This modem is replacing my old Motorola SB6120 that only had 4 download channels and 2 upload channels. I currently subscribe to Xfinity/Comcast on their Blast speed tier (75Mbps down and 10 up in Chicago area). I can say this modem is working fine after a bit of troubleshooting with tier 2 support. The initial configuration file that was downloaded had an error and caused it to randomly lose it's speed. As of now I average 85-90 Mbps download and with 32 channels I'm future proofed until gigabit speeds are readily available at a decent price.

Super Fast. Super Easy Set Up!

It was super fast to set up super easy to set up. The only drawback is waiting on your cable router to answer the phone and then sitting on hold while they do their stuff on their end. Once I do that though I’ve had no lag and no drops.

My previous router was not very old but would cut out a lot. I had not even realized how slow it was until I bought this one. Instantly I noticed much faster speeds, my mesh network was faster and set up was crazy easy.

Great Cable Modem. I combine this with a internet booster and my internet coverage is great all over my house. Buy this product better than and cheaper than the renting from the cable company.

I looked at various reviews and finally decided on this awesome sb6190. It was not plug n play because TWC had to do some configurations on their end. I hooked it up to an ac1900 router and this baby has been purring like a kitty. Awesome modem. I highly recommend it.

One of the best modems on the market for those who get speeds less than Gigablast. This works great paired with a good router, and is affordable. 3.1 is only needed if you expect to get gigablast in the future. But this one is definitely great!

I decided to buy a modem so I didn't have to pay a modem fee to Comcast. I looked at the reviews and this model had lot's of positive feed back so I took a chance and bought and I am glad I did. It was super east to install and I have not had any problems.

If you want to ensure that your modem will be capable of the fastest Internet speeds your cable modem offers (along with a bit of futureproofing), this is the modem to get. The more downstream & upstream channels, the better off you will be. Works great with TWC MAXX speeds.

Performs Far Better Than the Cox Panoramic Gateway

I bought this cable modem to replace a Cox Panoramic Gateway that I had in my apartment that was having network bouncing issues, and pairing it with a Linksys router, this cable modem has performed far better than the Cox Panoramic Gateway ever did. In addition to the performance boost, I no longer have to pay a rental fee to use the Cox Panoramic Gateway. Plus, if I ever move out of my apartment, I can take it with me and activate it at a new location. While you lose the convenience of having a cable modem and a router all in one device, it's far more convenient to troubleshoot issues with two separate devices than troubleshooting one device. Overall, I would highly recommend this cable modem.

I've been using an older Arris 6782 Gateway (Modem/Router combo), but was only getting 50Mbps download speeds (although I'm paying for 3x that speed). So, I decided I'd try a newer modem. I wanted a DOCSIS 3.1 modem, but A., I didn't want to spend that much on a modem, and B., I was only paying for 150Mbps speeds, so I technically didn't "need" the latest iteration. Anyway, long story short: I'm getting almost 180Mbps download speeds, my Internet is more robust and doesn't drop nearly as much. Multiple people can be online at the same time and it doesn't affect my experience, like it would with the old modem. The 32x8 configuration was integral with this last point. My old modem was only 8x4, so there were only so many download channels available. All in all, I'm extremely happy with my decision. Arris is a solid brand.

Great modem increased my overall internet speed around 90 Mbps, i went from an average of 90Mbps to between 180-230 Mbps depending on the time, easy setup, and installation, definitely recommend for the price and if you are looking to upgrade from an older modem.

Got this modem to replace an old Zoom modem that kept dropping internet. Setup was easy and straightforward. Works with Xfinity so you don't have to pay rental fees. I'm even getting faster speeds that what I pay for!

Bought this based on other reviews to save some cash in the long run by not having to pay the monthly rental fee for Xfinity’s modem. Works as advertised, no issues setting it up with our Orbi WiFi routers. Overall, really happy with the modem.

Compact DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem with easy setup

First I applied for and received my Comcast Internet account service. Then I checked their recommended cable modem list and chose the Arris SurfBoard DOCSIS 3.0 as the best match for my needs. The nearby Best Buy had the unit I wanted in stock, so I purchased it online and picked it up at the store. I then set up the SurfBoard and connected a Linksys EA6500 Wi-Fi AC Router. Next I used my Comcast online access to activate the account, set up the cable modem and get on the internet. The whole process was easy and seamless, and after the modem rebooted a couple of times, everything worked perfectly. I have been using the Arris cable modem for over a month now and it has been glitch-free. Sometimes technology just works as you would want it to -- this has certainly been the case with the Arris SurfBoard cable modem I purchased from Best Buy! Highly recommended.

When I changed from DSL to cable I decided to buy my own gear to save monthly rentals. This modem was the model recommended by my ISP, and I can see why. It set up easily, worked like a charm, and has had zero problems. I paired it with an Archer C7 router.
