Had to replace the cable modem I had, due to an eletricle storm. I tried using a number of other modems but none of them worked well; I could have gone with the comcast modem but I did not like having comcast, or anyone else control my wireless. So I purchsed SURFboard and installed it. it took some time working witht he cable support group but it was worth it. I, once again, have a stable connection and it is faster then the one I had. Highly recomend it if you have a wifi solution already.

I complained to Spectrum for a few weeks about losing connectivity for hours on end and they seemed to claim it was my equipment, so maybe the modem was getting tired - why not get a new one? It was on sale and has the potential for 1G download speeds. Just about while unboxing the new modem, Spectrum notified me that they would be replacing equipment in the area, because of an "area wide problem" so the problem was, as some net diagnostics indicated, on their side. I'm getting the same speeds, but that's not the modem's fault at all. If you don't have the need and bandwidth available, it's a good choice.

Best modem ever. I have had many modems and have use them with many Internet providers including Comcast, Time Warner cable, Cox communication, and this by far holds up the best out of any modem that I’ve seen. It totes that it has a gigabit ethernet download speeds and I have not been able to test that, but can say for the 200 down that I get, I now get A more reliable download rate Then ever had previously. Arris Did the right thing by keeping the Motorola design. Hands-down best mode of ever using DOCSYS 3.0

This was recommended by the Best Buy salesperson. I was looking for a more expensive one. He glad I took his advise. This Modem works perfect. My home is 3,000 sq ft and we have over 25 devices connected at one time (up to 36 devices total), haven't had one issue with the modem. FYI: Did also get a 3 pc MESH router - both work great together. Would definitely but this again and recommend it to all.

Not the very best unit you can buy but is reliable and cheap. Has wonderful performance for cost and haven’t had any issues.

Easiest set up and display on a modem, to date! Pushes very fast speeds and holds up to anything my provider can push out.

I purchase my own modem and router instead of renting these devices from the cable company. Great Modem, fast and easy to set up.

I already have purchased a Arris Modem before and it was the SB6141 which is a very good modem but I wanted the SB6190 as a way to stay future proof. I know it's probably not necessary to have this Modem and it's kind of overkill but I always say it's better to be future proof as much as possible and if down the line my internet provider will upgrade the speed I know the SB6190 will be ready for it. I have this with Time Warner service and it's works very well the connection very stable along with my Asus Router no complaints at all.

I replaced the modem provided by Xfinity with this modem... wow, what a difference. My wifi is much faster and more stable than before without modifying the service from Xfinity. Since I returned the Xfinity modem, they are no longer charging me for the rent of the modem, which the savings will pay for the new modem in time. Great to pair this modem with a quality wireless device like the eero.

Set up was very easy. With the channels and speeds, should be future proof for the next few years, a hard feat with technology.

This Modem exceeds all of my expectations. I've had zero issues with it, and I'm loving my fast internet. Does everything a Modem should.

Really easy to hook up obviously and blazing fast speed. Now I don't have to rent an overpriced one from my internet provider.

I bought this to replace the Xfinity modem and stop paying rental fees. Installation was pretty much a breeze and even the Xfinity app on my phone facilitated the process. The app from the maker was not needed. As for speed, it was slightly faster than the old one. It certainly runs cooler and quieter than the Xfinity one that even had a fan.
