This is an awesome modem so it definitely gets 5 stars, but I returned it because I quickly realized that my internet service speed doesn't even allow me to utilize this to even half its ability. I'll buy the latest version of this once I'm paying for faster internet, but its overkill for now. It really wouldn't be fair to take away any stars, so do some research and if you've got crazy fast internet I would highly recommend this modem!

Had the base model Arris modem that was only rated to 364MBps, upgraded my service to 400. Was only able to get 280 hardwired direct to the modem. Upgraded to this modem and BOOM.. Now I get 475!!! Quick call to Comcast to get it provisioned and everything was good to go. Very Happy with the purchase and I now have room for future speed increases.

This was easy to use and understand, and its compact design makes it good for tight areas on the desk etc.

Purchased this modem to replace the rental modem from my cable provider. The setup was easy and the increase in internet performance was noticeable. Purchasing vs. renting is the way to go.

Works great, good speed, and easy to setup. You will need to take a picture of MAC address in label before making all connections and later call your ISP to give them that info.

When deciding which modem to get, the 32x8 (32 upload streams, 8 download) seems to be the best of the best today. Docsis 3.0 should be perfect for everyone that doesn't NEED 2 Gbps and is willing to buy the extra hardware for it. I don't think any tech should be labeled future-proof, but a great modem should get you pretty far, basically until you don't need a modem when you get fiber.

The reason for upgrading to this modem was because we finally "cut the cord" from COX for Cable Television. This meant we had to upgrade our modem to receive the bandwidth necessary in our house for the amount of devices on wifi and streaming. This performs flawlessly and has zero issues. Only negative if you can call it a negative is that the front indicator lights are super bright, so as long as you can hide it somewhere or cover it with tape, you should be fine.
