When it came time to upgrade my old 4x4 cable modem, I decided to go as future-proof as I could. The 32x8 SB6190 exceeded Cox' 24x8 max for my area, but that just leaves me headroom for the future. I've gone from around 100Mbps to 180Mbps on a 150Mbps account. All it took was a short phone call to Cox Internet service, and I was surfing again in under ten minutes. No overheating issues like the old 6183 series, either. Recommended.

This modem works as intended. I've always had great success with Arris Surfboard modems. They last forever and the only reason why I replace them is to upgrade. I've never had to replace one because it died. I love the fact that this modem has an energy efficient mode that lowers energy consumption at night when there is low internet activity.

Speed is appreciable to Xfinity but better reliability for maintaining connection and bandwidth

I upgraded from an Arris Surfboard SBG6782 modem router to this and a Google Mesh wifi system. From patchy 3bar wifi service at the other end of the house to now having 5bars all over, it's a massive improvement. As for the modem, the maximum speed i got before was around 60mbs from my 100mbs Spectrum service. With this modem I now get around 90mbs. A large service boost. Buy this with a mesh system.

Nice reasonably price modem for just normal daily use.

Previous to purchasing this modem, we had several internet issues: Speed-previously it was slow Range-could not reach all rooms in the house. Had major issues with the remote learning our kids were forced to take on during COVID. This modem has solved our problems.
