I did not want to rent a modem from Xfinity and purchased this. It was on the list of approved modems and easy to set up. I just had to go to the Xfinity activate page. My internet works fine and I have had no problems whatsoever. Note that this is just the modem and you will need a separate router to distribute the internet to your devices.

Upgraded my Surfboard SBG6400 modem/router to this modem and a new Linksys wireless router... Was planning to cut the cord and stream live TV... This modem works well with my Spectrum internet but I really can't tell much difference between my new setup and old one... still cannot stream 4k TV from Netflix... and do not know how to determine if problem is with Spectrum, modem, or router... when I have time I will do more testing and see if I can figure it out... disappointed I can't get 4k TV but otherwise modem seems to work fine...

Working great, easy to setup and use. Not a fan of the color but that is a personal choice.

Needed a new cable modem to take advantage of a speed boost by my ISP. Had considered paying a lot more for a DOCSIS 3.1 modem, but based on some great advice by Best Buy staff, figured out that this 32 channel DOCSIS 3.0 one would meet my needs for a few years, thereby getting me a great return on investment (vs. renting from my ISP). Been using it for almost a month now and have had no problems.

Been supporting my 300, 400 and 600 mpbs down plans through Spectrum without issue. Supports my IPv6 routing while an older SB6130 does NOT (if you want to support multiple IPv6 "subnets" that you get from your ISP, the 6130 will only support a /64). Wait on DOCSIS 3.x if you want, but this family of 2 is doing fine with the current standard.

with the beating this modem takes day after day it is always reliable and easy to set up.

Easy set up, works great for wifi. Small and discreet

After reading a lot of reviews and getting tired of waiting for DOCSIS 3.1 to get rolled out, I finally upgraded from my SBG6580 8X4 cable modem to the SB6190 32x 4 modem + an Asus AC5300 router. The combo is working beautifully, extremely easy setup. My cable co., Time Warner, just recently turned on 16 x 4 support, and is supposed to be ramping up speed in the next few weeks. This modem will handle everything they can throw at it.

Was having problems with intermittent internet connection. Comcast told me old router was out of date for current speed. After reading reviews of what is currently available, stayed with a Surfboard model. A Comcast tech told me one of the best out there right now. Will work with higher fiber optic speeds once fiber optic is ready to go. Groundwork is already started. Sitting pretty when combined with my new router.

Not much to say here; if you need to update your modem with Comcast then this is worth the cost of admission. It works exactly as advertised and the speeds are solid. Just make so you don't buy a modem that your current internet speeds aren't capable of getting. Example if you're paying for 50Mbs and don't plan on going faster than theres cheaper options. But if you have gigabit speed this is the starting point.

Got this as a Comcast replacement. Set up was easy and it performs flawlessly.

Great modem for the price. Quick and easy set up we bought 3 so far and recommend to friends.

Worked amazingly until a bad storm come through and had to have it replaced but sustainer service was great and they send a new one. Had it for a couple years until we got higher speed internet.
