Updated from an older version that I had for atleast 6 years as it was at its speed limits. When to this new one and speeds from my ISP went up and nothing changed on my account. Unlock more speed with what you currently pay! And no paying the ISP for modem lease. Pays for itself in less than a year for the cost they lease them to you at. Plus the ISP ones just aren't as good.

we bought this to replace our older arris gateway that stopped working. it is a modem only, and will need a separate router. luckily, we were able to use an old router to complete our home wifi setup. this modem is able to handle faster speeds over our older, dead gateway, but we are not able to tell the difference. so, far, its a decent replacement, just note it is a modem only, and not a gateway like our dead surfboard which it replaced.

This modem is very very good. l upgraded to this modem from a 8x4 channel and this one is way better and got rid of most of the lag. after l got this modem l learned about 3.1 being rolled out soon so l ent up returning this and getting the upgraded one but if you do not plan on upgrading your internet to gigabit speed this modem is good for you.

Read other reviews on Amazon before purchasing. I was concerned this modem would have issues w xfinity. I wasn't able to fully provision the modem without a tech coming to the house. Once the tech arrived he had it up and running in no time. Currently have xfinity extreme 250. Speeds are extremely impressive vs my previous sb6141. Happy that I took a chance and tried this one out.

Great product for Comcast. Very easy to use and set up.

This seems to be an excellent unit as I was able to get it installed with Comcast in very little time. To date there have been no performance issues with the cable modem. The only reason that I did not give this an "excellent" rating is that it runs much warmer than my previous modem. I have it located so that it gets good ventilation so hopefully the high temperature will not be an issue.

I was renting the exact same modem from Comcast, so figured I would stop renting and buy. Never had any problems with the rented model, this was is the same. Easy setup. I use my own wireless router, so I have the 2.4ghz wireless transmitter switched off.

I had an old Arris that was just not functioning as well but still worked. Problem was that it was a 8x4 DOCSIS. I have 200mb internet and well the 8x4 just wasn’t cutting it anymore. Decided to upgrade to this 32x4 and i no longer have issues with spotty internet. It’s always connected. I highly recommend to purchase.

Purchased to get rid of the Mediacom modem we had. Note that there is no telephony so you cannot use to make voice over internet calls. No complaints. Good value and easy to set up. Wish we had an alternative to Mediacom, but it will do.

I currently have comcast and wasn't happy with the performance and interruption of the modem/router combo. Purchased this modem and its increased my performance by 25Mbs. I would highly recommend this modem to anyone looking to optimize performance. Paired with my Apple Time Capsule I couldn't be happier!!

great buy, does what it is suppose to do, small and compact

Excellent device, if you have Xfinity you should get your own equipment it will work much better. I suggest getting this and the Netgear Orbi. They work great together and I’ve had no issues every since I’ve purchased this. Are used to get dropped network connections all the time using XFINITY’s equipment.

In our area we just got 1 Gbps cable Internet speeds. The current modem I had was not capable of 1 Gbps. This 32-channel modem did the trick. I bought this one out right because I didn't want to pay the cable company a monthly rental fee. Unfortunately, my old modem had 4-ports for Ethernet connections this one only had one.
