Not for Online Gaming

My prior Arris SB6141 modem was currently delivering 60mbps (sometimes more) just before I upgraded. Upon activation over the phone, I initially saw only 2mbps testing! Bad. Rebooted modem and eventually got better than 60mbps. However this modem (and many others) use a KNOWN defective Intel Puma 6 chipset which causes poor latency and jitter, making trouble for online gaming. My response times became SLOWER 300ms instead of prior 100ms. Returned the next day for a more expensive Motorola MB7621 arriving soon. See lawsuits over Intel Puma 6 for details. Non-gamers might be okay with inconsistent loading times.
