I exchanged modems multiple times. I could NEVER rely on internet service. I finally decided to buy my own modem on the word of a Best Buy salesman and got an extender to help. After a couple months, I have not had a single issue. Cableone always gave me excuses and reasons why I should keep their modem. THIS modem has solved ALL of my problems so far.

You can easily save yourself at least 10 dollars a month regardless if you have optimum or frontier or verizon just by purchasing your own modem which you can use with any company if you decide to switch in the future. If your internet service provider claims you cannot use your own modem I can assure you that they are just flat out lying. If you have a home phone service, this unit won't do for you as you need a modem that has a phone jack.
